@@HyperTailsX thisss honestly. i want to feel like a background character for once, see how i look through the eyes of the friends and allies we met along the way. i know they think we're awesome as hell, but seeing it is always better than just knowing it.
i was also pretty disappointed when we had to play as y'shtola in that one msq and the wol wasn't fighting in the background... just empty space outside the arena. i would've been pretty happy even if it's just them bonking sadu over the head with their weapon over and over lol

I just finished Stormblood, I was having too much fun holding the line til the WoL arrived
My whole team died and I was a Dark Knight. The boss was almost dead and I had half health. I popped The Blackest Night and started smacking the shit out of the boss. I was one hit away from dying and I hit the boss with a beam and it died. This song was playing while I was having that final stand and it was fucking amazing.

This theme is really powerful when you're doing that awesome MSQ event in the Steppe

I agree. The event in itself is already pretty intense, but the way the music kicks in and fits perfectly into the ongoing battle... This is in the top of instanced solo content, up there with the Grand Melee.

Just did that fight and it was quite possibly my favorite moment in the game so far, especially when this music kicked in. Something about how mere moments earlier, you were all fighting, each other, then, they were all backing you up.

Definitely my favourite moment in Stormblood so far, and possibly one of my favourites from the whole game! This music kicking in really made the moment for me, it was so powerful!

I’m a relatively new player. Every SINGLE TIME the chorus in this song kicked in I just lose my shit and go absolutely all-out battle frenzy with my character. This is probably one of the best battle themes I’ve ever heard.

God, this is too perfect, this is the apex, how can it get better than this? But looking it up and seeing this statement repeated over many times has me trembling in anticipation.
Years later even when StormBlood dungeons come up in leveling Roulette, I still get Goosebumps when this theme starts. Too powerful
I was running some roulettes recently and got Stormblood content a LOT, and I definitely share this sentiment. So good.

Man, out of everything Stormblood had to offer, I'm going to miss Triumph the most.
Flavian It’s not going anywhere. If anything, the new Hard Mode dungeons Shadowbringers will offer will keep this theme. Just as the Hard Mode version of Heavensward dungeons.
Fell in absolute jaw-dropped love when I reached my first SB Dungeon boss blind and this absolute banger filled my ears, hands-down my favourite dungeon theme. While a lot of people hate that the "Phantoms on the Lake" theme got cut short into "Persistence", I absolutely LOVE any and all SB dungeons that have Persistence for the mini-bosses and Triumph for the final bosses. Just an absolutely gloriously epic musical duo for any dungeon boss.

This song practically made the Hypertuned Grynewaht fight for me. This and the voicelines together were so damn powerful and intense. They managed to turn the lamest, most annoying "villain" into something genuinely kinda fucked up. I love it.

My fc really didn't get why I was so distraught after having to kill him, but for me it was truly disturbing seeing how a sort of minor character had to suffer so much to be able to kill the WoL and still after being grotesquely disfigured and experimented on failed. I HATED him and thought he was the most obnoxious character in the story so far but after the fight I felt truly sad and sorry for him. He never had a choice.
It might be silly but when this theme plays for the endwalker healer role quest at the end, I was hyped

Endwalker and Shadowbringer boss themes are awesome but this still is my favorite, really feeling that revolution and finale for some reason. 🙂
Its the lyric section.... Legit all of the other expac boss themes sound kinda weak and SB comes in with that STORM OF BLOOOOD STORM OF BLOOOOD
Let me tell you how excited I was to hear this track in Another Mount Rokkon.
It was awesome to see your character, who was a complete outsider, raise their hand and have an entire people whose belief is "strength above all" not only respect you but immediately follow your lead. Was amazing.
This is my favorite boss battle music in the game, even having heard the Endwalker one. I just love it when the chorus kicks in. Absolutely love it.
Still one of the most epic battle themes of any expansion; this and the one from Shadowbringers totally emphasize the legendary scale of this epic fantasy adventure

@@dr_hellcat_6664 on the marketplace board; though be prepared to drop a LOT of gil for them, alternatively orchestrion rolls in general drop as loot in certain dungeons and raids, I believe triumph drops from the end of expansion boss or the dungeon before it.

All my friends hated storm blood one even quite the game and then theres me me who think this is the best expansion mainly because of the bosses and their music
I think the story in Stormblood is massively underrated. It's soo good. Its honestly the most grounded story in ffxiv. While you got a war with dragons in one expansion, drama with angels in a parallel world and travel space in others, Stormblood is about oppression and revolution! I love a good fantasy story, but i feel like Stormblood didnt mind getting real
When I first heard this song in game while doing the final boss of the first SB dungeon I was blown away. FFXIV music has this awesome way of taking the main theme of the major patch you are in, and remixing it in the perfect ways to just hit you in all the right spots. Fuck I love this music.
Indeed, lief motifs are powerful things in music. FFXIV's OST is a top-notch showcase of that, especially Stormblood.

Hypertuned Grynewaht is the fight that made me fall in love with this theme.
A foe that wanted revenge because you screwed him over so often, starting from late Heavensward, and it all culminates in a showdown where he's pretty much on the brink of sanity...assuming he hadn't already jumped.

At 3:32 something about that transition makes me get tingles and a boost of energy and I absolutely love it.
Months and a million dungeons later, I'm still not tired of this song.
New player here, I had to find my way here because after entering Stormblood, getting closer to its end and hearing this theme hit during many points, I definitely needed to save it.
Hearing this as I'm playing Dragoon, Ninja, or Dancer (the three jobs I currently rotate between) has been such a blast. The chorus seems to come in right as cooldowns need to happen so it feels that much more amazing. The music feels like its cheering for me, not just trying to sound good. It's improving my dps lol.
It's music like this that makes my character feel like a protagonist in a Final Fantasy game alongside my squad, not simply a character in an mmo. I appreciate that a lot.
I solely switched my main from BRD to DNC for this specific reason when doing SB rouls

So, 4.2 added the Orchestrion Roll for this song. It's called Triumph; can buy with 50k MGP at Gold Saucer.

Having finished the Healer EW Quests earlier today and Ranged EW Quests last month just cements my love for Stormblood, what beautiful, touching stories.

Don't get me wrong, I love them all (all of FFXIV's OST really), and perhaps I'm especially partial to Stormblood since it was the current content when I started playing (~2018) *and* I'm a sucker for everything about the story, locales, people, etc. of the expansion, but I struggle to see how anyone could think this expansion fell flat or that the OST is flat in comparison to any of the others. Like, the power of a good lief motif, which Stormblood has, is incredible, and this theme gives "that oomph" in that way. Also, the powerful brass, the chorus, the lyrics, the fast and desperate percussion, the piano... man, how can you *not* feel like giving it all you got against the boss to this?
Yup, i prefer this one too. Though the ShB OST is amazing, i prefer the SB OST. 😛

I got The Ghimlyt Dark on roulette yesterday and I honestly forgot how much I LOVE the Stormblood soundtrack. It brought me here to listen to this song allllll day.

@@EliwoodX8 But he already did? Right at the start of Shadowbringers there's a big duty where everyone is trying to hold Zenos off long enough for you to arrive, and then you duel again. This is playing through the duty.

Somehow, Soken managed to mix up a strongly oriental vibe to a patriotic imperialist call to arms, it fits the narrative of Stormblood, and it sounds amazing. It's a confluence of oriental and ocidental nations and musical styles combining into one for a common cause, and that alone is cause for celebration.
I just got to Stormblood, and I gotta say I'm enjoying the ride!

Done with EW and waiting on Dawntrail, this music still gives me goosebumps even after I beat stormblood, none of the other expansion boss themes give me a RUSH of adrenaline like this one, absolutely one of my favorite FF songs

just started playing this game on ps4, loving it. Decided to look up some music because I liked what I heard so far (Old Gridania is so catchy!) and my god. I have never been so excited to hit endgame in an MMO. This music is just... yes.

I love this boss theme. It’s pretty inspiring to fight the bosses. The most memorable, to me, happened to me today:
SPOILERS
Zenos keep beating you over and over again, but on that final dungeon where you can fight him at last, prior to it, I beat the level 70 Red Mage quest, so I got my guild master’s attire and got Verholy as my final spell. All the other times, I feared him. This time, I felt like I could fight him! A few times I nuked him for over 15k damage using both Verflare on when I learned on my own and Verholy after rescuing Aria. The final moments happened when we got him cornered, I did the combo, I casted Verholy, and as a final send off, I nuked him with the LB2!
Meanwhile Zenos instilled a "oh yes, a worthy prey" kind of feel, but then again I was thinking of the encounter in my WoL's specific PoV of being a "monster hunter".
Now, as player, I'm just "oh boi it's another gameplay and story segregation huh..."

You do your level 90 dps ranged quest in EW with Hien and crew fighting the blasphemy together! Gotta love how they bright it back one last time! So damn epic!

I will never forget wiping on Shinryu Ex sooooo many times with random party finder people. Every time we would get to the last phase when you run up his tail and this song kicks in with the chanting chorus, it was so epic, it would always pump me up to finish the fight! Eventually we did it, good times.
This blows all the other Boss themes out of the water.

yeah, especially at :50 where Chant starts then descends with music in 2 sec span. And it begins again but much stronger. Hopefully there is a soundtrack that uses these themes in the majority of the duration :)

This track is so damn fantastic. After all the Ominous Prognisticks, this is a breath of fresh air that gives me goosebumps, as well as flashbacks to Breath of Fire IV.

This theme took me by surprise when I heard it for the first time. The other dungeon boss themes in the past were nice of course but this one felt particularly epic in comparison.
after going through the whole of stormblood, for some reason when this song plays my brain still thinks of Lorelei and the Sirensong Sea

Both have been my favorite dungeon boss themes so far.
It's pretty great that I have to quantify favorite things so specifically since the FF14 OST just nails it so frequently.
