It probably is this theory cause even if he's supernatural and can sense the player when close in dark revival he can Just know where you are in general so that would explain why these cut outs are here so that he can well yes of walking Ink person is pretty weird This still would explain how he can see as the ink is covering his eyes
I’ve always thought he has eyes (especially the Batim ink bendy), they’re just covered in the ink on his face and I think he can just barely see through it
@@nottherealmarshallhughes No it was a copyright thing that violated fan content guidelines from JD studios. Tons of fan games got taken out around the same time for the same reasons. I also suspect the language used in DF played a part.
I think it’s pretty obvious that know why there are cutouts everywhere in the studio, the Ink Demon needs them to see where his wandering prey is so he can kill or consume them. It’s kinda like the fan game with fat Boris where I think the character in the fan game is named Andy who said in the tape recorder that “if you blindfold the cutouts he can’t see you.” That explains why there such cutouts.
In chapter 3 One of Alices task is to destroy the Bendy cut out and after doing so Alice says "he hates it when I do that" and tells u to hurry up and hide and he comes every time I have played that part
I personally believe that when bendy came out for the first time, he had eyes, but when he was locked in the deeper levels of the studio, his eye sight deteriorated until they eventually stopped working..so he somehow.. developed? Evolved? Gained the ability to see and hear through the cardboard bendy cutouts scattered around the studio.
I think the eyeless-ness is a symbol of two things, his lack of a soul, and his lack of life, the first being because “the eyes are the window to the soul” and you can’t see what’s not there, even in batdr, he only really changes his behavior when he’s toon bendy, who has eyes, and the second, this has less to do with the lack of eyes itself, but how it emphasizes his smile, in every form of the ink demon except toon bendy, the ink demon is smiling perpetually, because there is nothing there, only a mangled corpse on puppet strings, toon bendy has life, a soul, he is what the demon would be without its pain, on its own, the ink demon feels the pain of being a corpse being forced to move by Joey, and in batdr, he has the pain of the wounds Wilson gave him, that pain is only gone in the form of toon bendy, he has scars, true, but the pain is gone, but Joey has a hold on him, even in death, the scars will always open up, with toon bendy free from the machine however, the scars will remain scars, and the pain will remain gone, the ink demon as we know it is dead, may he never return.
Perhaps he could have eyes they just can't work well, which even then think BATIM Has perhaps given the idea of that like Twisted Alice saying word for word: "They say he HEARD everything, every creak of the floor, every rustle of paper." This if you take realistically say you lose eyesight this triggers your other senses to be stronger and his must be hearing except he could've not lost it and yet as time progressed and as he evolved maybe then that's when he did gain a sort of almost eyesight and strong sense for where things are, but in BATIM by chance could be he simply relied on noise and sounds of movement or shifts in the environment, while BATDS although the AI more so is pretty simple to figure it somewhat follows since there is times he doesn't see you but it also seems it's advancing more and BATDS does go on before and during BATDR as learned in the archives so that could've been a hint he was getting stronger all along with these things- now what doesn't answer is the whole cutout thing and why he worries so much, perhaps there simply ideas for where he must go and what to do maybe they help guide him for ideas and keep an idea for what's going on what your doing perhaps but who knows if he can see through them, this all is just a theory So aside that thanks for coming to my TED talk

Also an interesring fact.
If you look closely to the Beta version of BATIM I.D. you can see a piece of his eye through the ink
Since the ink demon is supernatural i think he can just sense the player when close

Downward Fall seemed to think so. The characters in this fan game blindfolded the cutouts for that exact reason!
I was looking for this comment
@@TheInkDemon-r7m I wish that game didn't have to be scrapped. it was the only good fan game. Before ch1 redrawn anyways.

Hes scripted to go into that room whenever the cutouts are destroyed

So it's like in KFP 3 where the villain could see through his minions? Cool.
Bendy 3 might be the final game
Hope not
I don't think so. I mean, maybe for the main series. But they'll have spinoffs.

That is why the safehouse in the first game (chapter 3) is a safe house, cuz there are no bendy cutouts in it.
