Saw Al a couple days ago on t.v. Really miss his astute and acute wit and wisdom. Thanks a lot, Gillebrand and the rest of the thin skinned me too crowd. Unfortunately, Jimmy Carter was considered a Puppet to his own Administration. When he was in office, I went on a Caribbean Cruise (SS Noway, Nowegian Caribbean Transatlantic Ocean Liner) in the year 1980. I met well educated people from all over the World. They were literally laughing at America and making comments in regard to his ineffective leadership. Politics was not a good move for Jimmy...even though People all over America, at that time, were desperately looking for an Honest Politician. But, the American Government had already become so corrupt, one Christain was just not enough 😥💗 The House & Senate walked all over him along with all of the other corrupt Politicians. However, when Jimmy Carter left office and created 'Habitat for Humanity', he just flew! That is probably one of the best things that ever happened here in America. Former President Jimmy Carter will be well remembered for his amazing accomplishments throughout time as a Beloved Christain Leader & Evangelist that had a True Heart for Humanity! 👭😇🐶💖

Al Franken, we have missed you, and you are still as popular as ever! I hope you can let what happened pass, as you were a fighter to begin with to contest your Senate election and won. No question you can win again. You have what it takes, no doubt about it! You have intelligence and great humanity, not to mention a ( in this political divide severely lacking ) great sense of humor. Let us find the humorus truth again!! If you haven't forgotten us (the people) , we have not forgotten you! I really think someone was out to get you , and we all can guess who that might have been. Please don't let them win , because then we all lose. Fight for us again!
PS - Everyone misses those laughs, especially those guys who really need to laugh! Who else is gonna make them laugh??!!

@Jay Bee He should have gotten some due process by there being an investigation. With the me-too movement, and so many people (mainly women but also some men too) coming forward re their previous experiences of being sexually assaulted, groped, raped, more people are (hopefully) learning how widespread the problems of sexual assault, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment are, and how few perpetrators have been called out or been prosecuted or received any kind of punishment or even pushback. That said, there does need to be some kind of due process, basic fairness to the accused. Another important positive of the me-too movement is that people have been/are discussing these issues, including what constitutes “consent” and the non-acceptability of people in positions of power not hitting on those who work for them or are applying for a job with them.

He told them to go ahead and investigate the allegations but they refused. He resigned for the good of the party, because Trump and his sycophants would use the allegations to smear the democrats. I still think it was a put up job by Trump paying people to do it. He did it before!

I live in Canada and I am so happy that we have universal healthcare for free if you're poor. I'm retired now but in 2001 I had a DVT, in 2005 I had a stroke. I was in the hospital for 10 days both time. Last year I went to see the doctor about an umbilical hernia and there was a pre-op visit and the doctor asked me if I had a shortness of breath. I said yes I do. She sent me for a heart test called a nuclear scan which was 4 hours in the hospital and I was injected with a nuclear material 2 times and a scan was done after each injection, and then 6 minutes on the treadmill. Then I was sent for an ultrasound on my heart. Then she had me go for a breathing test. When I went for the follow up she told me that my heart was in great shape but my lungs were shot. I was diagnosed with emphysema. I told her that was from 30 years of smoking dope. She felt bad that there was nothing really that could be done but I told her that for that 30 years I had lots of fun getting high and having lots of sex so she shouldn't feel bad for me. She had never heard anyone with that outlook on a diagnosis like that. I did it and I accept that but the reason that I put this out here was all of this testing and visits to the hospital didn't cost me a cent. I'm a senior and I'm on medication and the government pays for that too. It's amazing and I'm so grateful that I live in Canada. Not one person had to lose their home for getting sick here. That's amazing when you think about how it is in the US. I keep getting tested for anything that they think might be wrong with me, and they are doing their best to keep me alive and living with a good quality of life. I know I won't live 10 years but they keep testing me for things in an attempt to help me enjoy the last days. I'm blessed big time.

The majority of it was hash on hot knives. I actually had hooked up a 20 pound bbq tank and a hose with a blowtorch on the end. My friend was reminding me the other day about that and how hot the smoke was using the knives. Also I had quit smoking cigarettes a long time ago so it was the hash that had the greatest effect I believe. I didn't think that it would have the same effect as tobacco. I quit everything in 1995 but was not diagnosed until this year. I now believe that if anyone smokes anything it is possible that it will have some negative effect. I'm sure we know that there are some people who smoke everyday for most of their lives and they have no problems, but there are others who do. As I said even though I'm going to die early because of it I had so much fun doing it that I accept full responsibility for doing it. The psychological effect got negative only in my final year of using. I'd be doing hot knives and tears would be rolling down my cheeks because my soul didn't like what my ego was doing so I ended up at that time quitting everything and going into a program and changing my life. I would change nothing because it made me who I am. I hope that was of help to you.

Yes and this is back in the 1980's the cops were also impressed when I got busted. They had never seen anyone who was as committed to getting high as to have a 20 pound tank. I have been GadgetManDan since the 1980's and I'm going to be doing a video explaining "Why GadgetManDan" because I even have that on my headstone. I am committed or I should be committed better states it. It is something that I will take to the grave. LOL

When I was 20/21 I bought a 2 month Bus Pass and bused and backback cross the northern US and Canada. If a Fortune Teller were tohave told me half the things I would do, half the places I would visit, and half the people I would meet, I would have asked for my money back. It was an amazing journey and one of those States that made it amazing was Minnesota. I was introduced to the nicest, kindness and most giving people ever. I'm now 64 and I tell stories of this trip and the one that truly catches the imagination of those listening is my visit to Ely. We're a remarkable country and I know that Trump is there to remind us how fragile Democracy can be. Like a kidney stone this too shall pass. Have a nice day and follow your bliss.

A well-established fact; Minnesotans will give you the directions to anywhere but their home. If you transfer in with 3M their indoctrination day will inform you to give it 3 years before you establish a friend base that feels close. If you want to speed this up you will readily make friends with other out of staters who suffer from loneliness just like yourself. It is better now. At 64 having lived here since 1982, there are many MANY transplants!

Nami Hendel it wasn't out of loneliness that the people came to my aid it was due to a lack of shelter for that night. Actually as a Connecticut Yankee we're often accused of being rather cold to strangers, but if you prove yourself to be a good person and caring friend we will bend over backwards for you. I think if you move into any new community the residents have to warm up to you. I think 85% + of Americans are good people. We just get overwhelmed by constantly being told about the creepy people because it makes better news stories. Have a nice day and follow your bliss.

Al Franken was just a senator at the wrong time. I mean, cancel culture was just steeping in the mid 2010s. Not to diminish any discomfort someone might have experienced, but his "crimes" were perhaps social faux paux and little more. He had been, above all, a brilliant politician, full of knowledge, compassion and wit. He can still contribute, but now it'll have to be from the outside. Whatever his errors of judgement, he should've been able to continue in his government role. Just look at the disparity of conduct between him and MANY (including Bill Clinton) who managed to more or less come out with their career intact. But, my party loves to be self righteous and eat their own nowadays. Not the republicans. They'll put ANYONE in office who might advance their agenda or be a puppet for one. Rapists, Pedophiles, Tax Evaders, doesn't matter. And as we all saw, Biden just barely beat out the WORST president in US history. Relieved for the moment, but absolutely dreading and full of anxiety for 2024.
