It never ceases to amaze me how in America the train filled with people has to wait for the train filled with inanimate objects. No wonder everyone flies nowadays! Even when you're stuck in your plane waiting on the tarmac for a gate to become available at the airport, you're not waiting for a cargo jet to load or unload! let us all remember one thing, freight makes the railroads money and passengers do not. This is why freight will ALWAYS take priority over passengers. Its the way it is and should be. It does not matter if passenger train gets delayed for several hours.
Amtrak should be canned, for the most part. Any business that gushes red ink for 48 years is not a business, but a boondoggle. If private railroads saw any future in this service, they wouldn't have dropped it like a burning potato.

The CP yard tracks have been extended so that the hold longer trains. This should not be a problem in the future.

Looks like oil spots on the camera lense. A lot of my shirts have the same little oil dots on them from starting the engines on many locomotives.
