Also a franklin planner. Every time I want to try something else, I actually feel stressed because my brain is now fc wired lol Their system is wonderful!
I feel the same too. The simplicity of their system is what I love. I have just purchased the compact size again for next year but I'm kind of regretting not getting their classic size 😓😓😓😓
Agree, the best ... moving from Hobonichi and Jibun Techo. I am using Franklin Planner 7 Habits Japanese Slim Edition. Using 2 for next 2024. One for project and todo, others for meal planner and financial budgeting. Good video. The projects are awesome.
I love the Japanese slim edition based on some of the reviews done by other youtubers. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it from the Franklin Planner website. Did you buy yours from the Japanese Amazon site?
Insightful video! Was wondering if you ever use a weekly planner to plan your week? I have been trying to stay consistent with weekly planning and time blocking on a weekly planner as I think it will help with planning efficiency. It’s tough to be consistent. What are your thoughts on this idea?
Yes I do! Without the weekly planning, I'm lost actually. I have a Franken Planner for that and I use digital planner sometimes too. In fact, I am sharing free insert which includes the weekly vertical insert in my next video. You can use it first as a starter. Check it out in the monthly plan with me- october 2023.
My first planner was Filofax. I love their planners but not the inserts. I find it not so functional and the paper qualities are not up to my liking. But they have various style now but still not for my planning system. On the other hand, FCs have various inserts that are very functional. Unfortunately, I find their planner binders are not as great as Filofax. So, if I want the best of both world, I would buy Filofax binders but use FC inserts.
I was looking at Allie’s compact planner, how heavy is your planner the way it’s setup with all the pages in it? My laptop is so heavy as it is so I’m trying to keep my planner as light as possible, I’m usually a classic size Carrara planner but it’s 5 pounds! Trying to downsize!! I tried out a compact today but the rings get in my way while writing.
Actually, I don't carry the entire pages, I only carry 6 months at a time. But I do keep the 12 monthly calendars. Because I notice that I refer to the monthly calendar section frequently than the daily pages. The Monte Carlo is one day per page, so my notes section is quite small. I write down my notes in a separate B6 Nitmos Stalogy book, but I do write down the page number from the Stalogy notes into my planner (index section) for me to view it later wheneever needed. The Allie was never too heavy for me since I don't carry the full year with me. But I love the Allie planner the most because it fits the most pages compared to other planners that I have. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching my videos ❤️❤️❤️
I have tried FC compacts, but my problem is that I write bigger plus it is too small for my needs. I have been an FC planner even when it was called Franklin Quest. I have always used the Classic size and other planners (Happy Planner, Daytimer, etc.). But I always come right back to FC.
I love the Franklin planner.. Getting my pages and forms ready for 2025.

I am a longtime FC devotee. I appreciate you sharing this video. I have four very big quarter four projects that I am mapping out in my FCC.
Glad it was helpful! Good luck in your projects!!!😊

What binder did you use for the compact?
Hi, I used binder from allieryaz.com
How do you compare FC with Filofax?

@@HitchandHitched I got my Allie Ryaz binder just like yours and I like it. Now to figure out the inside pages and finish setting it up!
Monticello is pronounced “Monti-chello”
aaah... thank you so much for correcting. Will pronounce it as Monti-chello next time
