Hi, all people of the world! MashaAllah what a beauty in rights is given in Islamic way of life by Allah, really very heart touching. I can describe it like, if someone is really sincere with his own life, he will definitely be rewarded by Allah with the Sacred gift of Islam, belief. So I hope and pray to Allah that every one in world may listen this short description on rights so that to secure his rest of the life forever. May Allah bless Sheikh and all Muslims of the world Ameen Was Salam
@zen031, Al-Nisa 4:34 is a very broad verse. In case of family jars four steps are mentioned, to be taken in that order: (1) perhaps verbal advice or admonition may be sufficient; (2) if not, sex relations may be suspended; (3) if this is not sufficient, some slight physical correction may be administered; and all authorities are unanimous in deprecating any sort of cruelty, even of the nagging kind, as mentioned in the next clause; (4) if all this fails, a family council is recommended.
Also, in response to your 2nd question - NO! The man does not have more rights than the women nor the women than the men. There is something which we call... a balance. A sense of equity is created. And how is that balance set? By the rights, and the limits which go alongside them. And no rights are more gentle and loving towards women, than those of... Islam. You want to know the rights of women in Islam - then look to Surah 'An-Nisa' of the Qur'an. An-Nisa meaning 'Women'.
@zen031, Then maybe you have a difficulty in reading. It does not say to immediately admonish them, there are FOUR STEPS, to be taken IN ORDER. The Qur'an's basic stance is that Muslim women are first and foremost Muslims, the religious equals of men (Qur'an 33:73). It refers to women and men as one another's "protectors." (Q. 9:71). Muslim marriage is described in terms of love and mercy (Q. 7:189, 30:21), and the Qur'an describes spouses as "garments" for one another (Q. 2:187).
Salam, Considering that there are many people outside the Islamic fold who get into panic attack modes when they hear Arabic ..can the video not have its beginning with the Surah , may be place them at the end. Thanks, May Allah bless us.
@zen031 As I said in my previous comment, men have been given leadership & responsibility of the family. I am a Muslim woman, also married, & I have no problem with this ayat. I know that my husband will not harm me even if he is following the orders of Allah in this respect. Sometimes chastisement in the form of a small beating (& the issue of what the Qur'an mean is cleared up the Sunnah, as are many other parts of the Qur'an) is the most effective way for us to realize our foolishness
@zen031 You think its wrong to beat women lightly when they dont listen to you and yet there are so much account of sexual abuse in non-muslim society that now you dont have to say anything about. It seems like you are attacking. Let me ask you this question, What is wrong with it? What is wrong with a husband beating a wife lightly because she is being disobedient?
@zen031 In Islam, men have more responsibility than women in the family. His duty is to have an upright, moral, & virtuous family...how is this possible when a man's wife won't even listen to him? Of course both should do their best to cooperate & negotiate, but there are times when they will disagree. Men are the head of the family; they have to try to do what is best for the family. When you don't have defined leadership, any organization/group will fall apart, especially families.
Different rights for different groups of people? The western world already has something called "HUMAN rights". That sounds more balanced to me. Human = different age, gender, race, beliefs, sexual preference human = no discrimination What are the rights for homosexuals? They're human too! He says men and women have rights. But does one have more rights than the other? Is that balanced?
and that homosexuals my dear respected Brother/Sister are what? aren`t they men and women ? everyone in this world has his rights and Allah won`t wrong anyone coz he is the absolute just my dear. he still feeding clothing and letting them breathen able to smile and talk eat cry ... Allah is giving everyone his rights and he wronged no one but we wronged our selves my dear by sinning and disobeying him and he is the creator of us who created us to only worship him alone but what did we do??

The whole argument about rights is ... wrong. NaturalLogorithm is right, this fellow has got major confusions about rights.
