Same here!! I love watching book shopping videos that take place in different cities. It is like traveling and sometimes brings back memories if it is a place I already visited. The London book shopping and travel videos are my favorites!!
I'm happy for you that you found a BEAUTIFUL copy of Pride and Prejudice! Great price too! I also am a sucker for gold on a bk. This video was so fun to see all the places I used to go to in Boston. Did make me cry though because I did NOT want to leave the Lexington area. The Boston Common, the Gardens, a perfect walking city! My Dad was a member of the Massachusetts Historic House Preservation. He was a builder. He restored homes in the 1700's and some 1800's. He worked on quite a few on Beacon Hill. There was no bookshop there when I lived there😑. I see you are a Scientist. So is my niece who lives in Arlington! I think she works in Boston but I could be wrong. I am a book nerd, avid reader, LOVE bookshopping, and all things books. I think I have enough bks. to last til my 300 bday, but can't stop buying them! I better because I live in a VERY small 1 bdrm. apt! Thanks so much, so enjoyable and lovely! 😊
Thank you Eileen for sharing more about you!! I think we can never have enough books...Let's face it, amongst all the materialistic things out there that we could buy, books are probably not the worst...Go readers!!
That copy of Pride and Prejudice is so cute!! I read The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare and I want to read more of her books now, I’ll have to check out this series you mentioned! Oh and I really enjoyed Tom Lake 😊
I am looking forward to reading Tom Lake, I want to listen to the audiobook because of Meryl Streep and still waiting for my library to come through…I have not heard a single bad thing about it, glad you enjoyed it too 🥰
@@ThePetiteReader yes the duchess deal was so fun, I loved it!! And yeah the audiobook for Tom Lake was great, I want Meryl Streep to narrate everything I listen to from now on 😆😍
Zuz! I am visiting Boston in September. I want to check some secondhand bookshops and get a good fish and chips. maybe some Italian for dessert. IK you don't eat meat but is there a hidden seafood place that locals know?
Yay, Boston is the best!! With food and hidden foodie gems I cannot help you...North End is Italian and apparently the food is amazing there!! Probably try a lobster roll at Quincy Market??
I love watching videos that show bookshops and scenery from places around the world! It feels like a 20 minute vacation!
