- 8 minute video showing 5-night trip in BWCA.
South Kawishiwi River entry point, #32, up river to portage into Little Gabbro Lake. Base camped X 4 nights on west end of Gabbro Lake then returned down South Kawishiwi River to portage to parking area/car.
Here is a link to the separate video that shows the pizza-making process on MSR Dragonfly stove with Backpacker's Pantry "Outback Oven":

You do a wonderful job documenting the camp set up, scenery, and food. You are a backwoods chef. 👏🏽
I apologize for any ads when you click on this video. I wish I could eliminate them but somehow TH-cam won't let me.
I will not buy the stuff that is advertised in these unwanted, pop-up ads. EE
Thanks for sharing! Looks like you ate well on your trip. :) Too bad the bug tarp leaked - did you find a solution after your trip? I saw your tent had poles bent to maximize interior space - what kind of tent do you use? Thanks for sharing your baking skills. Backcountry pizza and brownies are among our favorites. Enjoy your next trip!
Thanks for your comments! Tent in that video is a Marmot Limelight (3-person). An older model of that tent. Very roomy for 2 people. Bent poles make side walls more vertical and interior much more roomy. My spouse likes it. Easy setup too. Good for canoe trips; I would not (do not) use it when backpacking. On backpacking trips or canoe trips with other groups, I have converted to hammock camping (Kammok brand, Mantis hammock system).
I do like to cook and eat well on BWCA trips. 😃
Disappointed in the bug shelter. Love it in almost all ways but not being waterproof really disappointing. Would probably keep you dry in a light mist, but NOT in any kind of moderate to heavy rain. Have not used it since that trip; may try it again in summer 2023.
