I don’t think that Pen is most hurt by the fact that he said it, she was used to the idea that he wouldn’t love her, but the fact is that he said it in front of a bunch of males in the ton… In her own home. That was really messed up. I think if it had happened like it did in the book, it might’ve been slightly different, but he literally ridiculed her in front of everybody for no reason.
@@toniryan7285 Sure. Basically they are at the Bridgerton house and, don’t remember every detail but, his mom and brothers have been hounding him a little bit about getting married and they bring up Pen so he says he’s not going to marry Pen. She hears that and he apologizes but she immediately says something like…well I’ve never asked you to marry me so there’s no reason for me to be upset. It would be like getting upset if Benedict said that he would never marry me… It was better since it was just them and she got a chance to respond right there and then luckily she actually thought of something pretty good to say. Then Anthony walks her home and she’s actually the one that suggest that maybe Colin needs to do some traveling lol.
@@Adme55 wow yes that is a lot more understandable opposed to embarrassing a person in their own home and to eligible suitors, i feel Pen definitely had every right to be this upset in the show as Colin was basically confirming the negative things she thinks about herself for all to hear😕 The book sounds way more reasonable, I feel like in the tv show so much could be resolved if the characters just spoke to each other😂😂 I will definitely add the books to my read list! Thankyou
@@toniryan7285 Oh absolutely. But she has tried to tell him how she feels. He just doesn’t listen. I feel like Colin is the one that tends to not listen (and Eloise). Can’t wait for all the episodes. Hope you like the book!
I saw a video on the costuming for this season and they said the yellow flowery dress Pen is wearing in the square as she sees Eloise and Colin's arrival is a season 1 dress they added more overlay and stuff to in order to make the contrast with her makeover ensemble all the more striking--they really yanked her back into her most childish horrorshow of a dress on purpose! The feather headdresses are part of the Court Presentation outfits required by royal protocol. (Thankfully they didn't go SO historically accurate with the design for Bridgerton that they included the panniers that were also part of Court Gowns--they rose along with the waistlines so by the Regency, women wearing Court Dress had wide skirts sitting practically under their armpits, it was crazy.)
Colin could have said something like, “She is my friend, and any man would be lucky to court her.” For me, it was the way he said what he did that was cruel.
There are eight Bridgerton siblings and they go in alphabetical order (age wise). Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. Francesca is a character who (you have discovered with this episode) is much quieter than her siblings. She just wants a very quiet and peaceful life. I think they kept her in the background of the show because it suits her character (they can't now because she is making her debut). The character was also gone, in Bath, for some time. Also, they did make a cast change from previous two seasons for her character, so this is a new actress to the role which could be another reason you don't recognize her.
It's wild that Prudence found a husband (or Portia found one for her). I'd expect even citrus-dressed Penelope to find a husband first (although she tried not to if it wasn't Colin, and she made herself a wallflower to get gossip more easily).
Yeah, the vibes are off, that's because they're supposed to be off. Colin learned charm throughout his 17 cities, and now that he's back, he's using it on everyone with the sole purpose of fitting in. He's going through the motions, but that's not who he really is. I love his journey in season 3 (what we've got of it).
That was rotten of Cressida with the dress. I wish Debling had come back with the maid, though. I couldn't even see anything wrong with the dress on the long shot when she left, so it should have been an easy fix.
Yeah, I don't really like Penelope anymore, but they are doing a good job of giving different aspects of everything. Obviously, she will get a happy ending, but whether they redeem her is my question.
There are eight Bridgerton siblings: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. Francesca appeared in both previous seasons briefly, played by a different actress (who was in _Lockwood & Co._ at the same time, leading to this recast, ironically as the L&C was canceled). I would say Penelope is even more of a bully than Cressida; she just isn't as honest about it. (Ducks)

I havent read the books would you mind explaining what happens differently please?☺️

“That’s not too scathing…she just called you a ‘fake bitch’…”
LOL😂

When you said "she just called him a fake bitch" I actually snorted so loud that everyone in the library heard me :')
Hi Katie. I'm excited, too. We finally get to watch Penelope come into her own.
It's wild that Prudence found a husband (or Portia found one for her). I'd expect even citrus-dressed Penelope to find a husband first (although she tried not to if it wasn't Colin, and she made herself a wallflower to get gossip more easily).
Season one was beautiful and steamy. Season 2 equally beautiful and romantic. I am hype about season 3
"You don't make a heir with your mouth"
True, but it helps to get things going. :P
… fair point !!
Season 2 of Bridgerton has me in an infinite bear hug! I can't get enough of Kate and Anthony. Not enough of them at all this season.

You’re a delightful commentator!

There should already be a dower house in the country, attached to the estate. Violet needs to buy a townhouse in London.
In the novels, she does.
Castiel and Anthony...yes lady!
This season has definitely added some more fire to my crush on Nicola coughlan🤩
Cressida was the only one kind to Eloise after Penelope wrote that article about her. Eloise is too kind.
Found out your vids in X and got hoocked immediatly, love your reactions
Thank you so much !!
Your hair and eyes remind me of Lucille Ball
Haha thanks ! Not the first time I’ve heard that !
Penelope and Francesca both being bad with talking to people.
😂😂😂😂 omg
