Great video and answered a lot of my questions, other than the monster myth with magnifiers and that is the dot is changes MOA size with the magnifier. Saying the dot becomes a 6 MOA dot would mean the dot is magnified but the target isn’t. The dot doesn’t cover up any more of the target than it did without the magnifier. Yes a 2 MOA dot looks larger at 3x but it’s never bigger than 2 MOA. I only say this because I think a lot of people still think that with a 3x magnifier you are now covering up 3x more target and that’s simply not true.
FYI - minor, but useful, feature that you missed. When you remove the elevation/windage caps, they have a raised bar on the top of the cap. If you turn the cap upside down, it fits inside the adjustment screw slot, making it easy to make your adjustments without needing a separate tool.
So any clue what the name of the flat head screw on the bottom is called? It’s a retaining screw that holds the magnifier in place when flipped in or out. Mine has backed out and lost on the range last week. Would be fretful if you could help me out. Love the magnifier btw. Has served me well until now.
Yes, you can. BUT, the mount is at one end of the magnifier, which means that you will not have room for your rear iron sight when you mount the QD in the reversed configuration.
I find the eye relief and the QD lever to be a pain in the ass. I mounted mine farther back (no irons) where I didn't have to shoot NTCH but then of course the QD lever interferes with my ability to access the charging handle. So mounted it back forwards again so you have to shift your head to use.
@@SKSSVT93 now I’m thinking of hitting the middle of the lever with a torch and getting it hot before reshaping it with pliers. I think As long as I dip it in water after to cool it rapidly, it should maintain its strength
What red dot you running? I want the vortex Sparc Solar and the micro 3x magni or a eotech vi with the g43 magni. I don't know if the vortex setup will fit on my ARpistol tho, the eotech setup looks smaller but more costly. I think I'll get the vortex setup and if it don't fit ill slap it on my rifle.
@@PilotPatriot I like my iron sights but past 100yards is when I wish I had a red dot with a magnifier. You’ve convinced me to go with this setup 100%. Appreciate the video brotha.
Yeah I got a question I got a AR-15 and I'm put I'm going to put a scope on one times 10 by 24 and I think if I can do it and get your information maybe you can help me on it and put in front of it scope like or it picks up heat body heat and stuff like that when you're hunting please let me know if you can do something like that with that kind of scope with that heat pick up and stuff thank you and get back with me thank you

I should've bought this 1 when it was on sale Black Friday for $148.
Kicking myself in the butt now!🤟
its coming.
Have a couple of the Juliet with Romeo. This looks very compact.
Hey did you have to add that extra plate for that red dot?
@@gone.fishing2109 for lower 1/3 cowitness, yes
Nice rifle.
Can this go with the spitfire 1x prism

Vortex has awesome customer service... give them a call and they'll probably send you a couple for free.
Nice overview. The flippy thingy…can you mount it to flip to the left side as well? Thank you.
I think so, you just have to remove the magnifier from the mount and reverse it then put the mount on the rail to flip the opposite way
@@PilotPatriot cool. thanks gain.

@@Sduell60 Gotcha...thanks.
@@Sduell60yeah you will, I have MBUS pros tucked right underneath it and can flip the magnifier to the side and still flip the irons up if I wanted to
Or just mount them further back on the rail to get better eye relief
Hi, found you from letsdigit channel, cris is awesome 🇺🇸
Yea Chris is a good guy and great at what he does! Thanks for checking out our channel!

Did you find a solution to this? I’m thinking about trimming the lever
@@Samos900: Not yet, I've been thinking of trimming the lever also, but I haven't been brave enough.

what has a better eye relief, the sig micro 3x or the vortex micro 3x ?????
What reddot is this?

Holosun HS515CM
Which red dot is that?
What is your front fixed sight? What rear sight are you using ?
Front is Midwest industries, rear is magpul pro
Will this work with Flip Up Sights?
What’s that thing at the tip of your barrel? Blast defused or what?? What kind?
Yhm blast shield
Off the « pistol » … well done sir, well done :)
Gotta keep the terminology straight these days! Lol.
In vain, I’m afraid
I love the setup on that pistol! Will you be doing a full overview on it once it is completed?
Yes!!! Stay tuned!!
Nice setup man! What kind of brace on your pistol?
probably SB Tactical SBA3
Is this reversible for lefties like the holosun magnifier? Thanks
yes it is.
Thanks for not having some cheesy intro.
Why cant i mount this on my rail….is mine defected? The original one fit easily
Did you loosen the adjustment screw on the side of the mount?
@@PilotPatriot i did, but i figured it out..just a really bad angle to slide on….thanks
How well would you recommend this setup on my 5.56 AR15 ?
I love this set up, I think it gives alot of options at a mid range price point

Does it share the same footprint as the Eotech G33 (which the VMX-3T also uses)?

that comment made my head hurt...
Did you have a stroke while writing this?
You don’t shoulder a pistol brace even when you shoulder it.
2 moa dot still looks like a 2 moa dot.
Yes it still covers the same space but your eye perceives it as 3x larger
@@PilotPatriot not quite. Still 2 moa.
@@PilotPatriot how ? when the literal target is also magnified?????
Pistol???
Pistol!
