@@bungle3912 Agree 100 million percent. Zack is not playing it well. I’m not taking anything away from ZW’s talent, but he is simply not playing the Mouth for War verse riff correctly. It’s my favorite Dime riff by far, and ZW is just not doing it justice or even playing it properly. My argument is that he is basically “Zakkifying” it, and sorry to say… ruining it in the process.
@@rqwec8974 pantera will never write new music so you'll have to get over it, they're just playing live shows as a homage to their music and gives the chance for fans who have never seen them you cant have new pantera music without dimebag and vinnie, just aint happenng
I get that we’re not seeing “Pantera” here… but I think the motive should be to honor the band’s legacy. This isn’t Zakk Wylde’s moment to insinuate himself into the legacy of Dimebag. Mouth for War is my favorite Pantera song, and Zakk absolutely ruins it. Dime played those riffs with so much more groove and left room for Rex and Vinnie’s voice in there. Zakk is doing all this pinch harmonic, pointless hammer-on/pull-off trill garbage, adding palm muted notes in that totally change the dynamic of the riff… He is making it about him. It’s like dude if I wanted to hear a million Zakk Wylde pinch harmonics, trills, and like 3 frets worth of vibrato bends, I would play a BLS record. But get that superfluous crap out of Mouth for War.
In fairness there’s live recordings where Dime palm mutes some of the riffs and adds squeals etc at different parts. Whether you feel what Zakks doing is good is subjective of course but I think it’s a nice touch that he’s willing to change it up live as opposed to the exact studio recordings as it’s in the spirit of how Dime approached live performance.
What does that guitarist think hes doing squatting over like that?! He looks like an old man with a bad back, at best. Phil sounds OK but his performance is zero. He needs to leave it alone, move on to something more suited to his physicality,... like ballads n love songs.
People dissing Zack need to chill,he's doing a great job, adding some flare and his touch is what we and dime smile at..
They got the drums sound spot on, Charlie is the man…Phil also sounds gnarley af
Zakk is LEGEND
nah
I was there, it was very amazing to see Pantera live at this years Download Festival 🥁🎤🎸🤘🤘
You say amazing, but you mean sad.
Sounds great 🙂🤘
C# standard tuning sounds good
MOUTH FOR WAR!!!!
Is that Tom Morello lurking in the wings? Possibly Chris Alder for a sec there too?
Tom Morello had played on the same stage earlier on ☺️
I'm wondering if that's Tom as well? Problem is there's so much dry ice on the stage that it's difficult to be certain.
I think Tom morello could have sounded better than zak Wilde!!
That famous riff had such a groove - it’s not being played the same?!

Totally ignored Vince and his wishes never to reform any such tribute then lads ???? Money talks indeed
Yeah it's a shame, but i'm gonna pay anyways to see them 😅
@@MaxWhiteArabiLouisiana facts
I just got tickets for London, I was born in 99 so this is as close as I’ll get to seeing pantera live
Yep, thank goodness 🤘🏻
Vince had a stick up his ass. Dime would have approved. There it is.
So glad I got to see the actual Pantera back in the day, this tribute band sucks.
Tribute band 😂
@@joeyworldtour211 It sounds like they're all high (or should that be 'low'?) on valium.

This isn’t Pantera. The Abbot brothers were Pantera. This is pure s&@t.
