And so... The beginning of the end. 190 episodes of a 5-year journey. Whether we were here at the beginning or joined along the way, we've seen it all--hilarity, adversity, triumph and wonder. Five wanderers... Now champions. Fighting alongside former enemies, stalwart friends and their patron deity, diving into the maws of Hell itself to save their universe from one who seeks to keep the status quo by ending it all. Whether they succeed or fail... All journeys come to an end. And what a journey it's been, and will be. Clear skies, folks. Glad to have been on this journey with all of you.
It is hard to express how much joy High Rollers have provided over the last five years. It is not like a TV show that drops a new season each year, High Rollers have provided non stop content every week for 5 years and it is always super entertaining. No Netflix show could do that. I applaud you Mark and the gang for telling a tale of such intrigue, excitement, highs and lows that every week thousands of people are desperate to tune in, Vod or Pod it. From the bottom of my heart thank you and can I just say, very excited for Campaign 3. So for everyone that loves high rollers, join me as a Patreon or other financial supporter so these guys can keep going and keep providing us this amazing entertainment.
Watching this the day they will stream the final episode, catching up so I can watch live! What a wonderful ride it's been! I've loved coming along on this adventure. Mark has inspired me so much as a DM, and the party inspires me as a roleplayer.
As we head towards the finale next session i finally watched an episode live on Twitch. Incredible episode, escalating tension, but a fitting prelude to last episode and the stakes feel genuinely high. Mark has shown what an excellent DM he is with genuine emotion for the PCs, the NPC arcs, evolving granular lore, and a gift for mechanics, some of which i've lifted. Of course a DM doesn't operate in a vaccum and much of Aerois's fun has come from the quality players and great characters. Be gutted to see it end. Hoping for occasional one-shots, and hyped for Campaign 3.
I will not stop complaining about the lack of a bit But anyway uuughhh I'm so EXCITED for campaign 3! The break between campaigns hasn't even started yet and it's already so painful T-T Please keep us fed with lore drops Mark
As soon as i read final episode a tear whent down my cheek, after 5 years ive fallen in love with this series. Love you all thank you for the days of content and the emotions❤ Well done mark for beeing one of the best dms in the world.
Can’t believe I missed the finale live, but I’m sure it’ll still be just as good in VOD form! Can’t wait to see how it all ends , it’s been a great journey over the years!

Siaska is Palkia, Valla is Dialga, and Hadar is Giratina
I think one of my favourite things about this series is that it's given me the chance to learn D&D. I started watching in 2020 which is when I started playing too.
THIS WAS SO AMAZING! I have followed yall from the beginning and am full of gratitude for the story, emotion, and energy each cast and guest brought to this game! Truely a piece of art. Great job Mark. You did so brilliantly.
So Aerois is going to end. It hits me just how much this series in particular has given me: It brought me to DND and TTRPGs in general. It opened up a Box of goodnes and joy for me I have never expected. Friend of mine chuckled in TeamSpeak about a Cow getting murdered and I got interested. Soon I wittnessed people falling out of the sky, embarking on an epic adventure to span galaxies. I watched, binged really, I cought up on episode 110-ish. In the meantime I have watched Campaign 1, 2.5 Critical Role Campaigns and for about half a year am playing with some friends once a month in our own campaign. I thank you, High Rollers, for bringing this awesome game to my attention, for your dedication, your imagination, your creativity. I am excited for the finale and I am excited about Campaign 3 and everything that comes out of your studio in the future. Oh what stories we have yet to experience!
Penultimate!? I am currently on Episode 185. It looks like I am going to catch up just in time for the final episode. Looks like a chose the perfect time to catch up. I will be back here in a few days I guess
I am up to date with High Rollers for the first time since back in the early lightfall days. This is a weird feeling. And it's literally just in time for the last episode too. I will watch the Vod tomorrow. I really did catch up just in time
Now this is what I call a final stage! It’s been a long journey, but every day of those five years has been worth it 👍Great episode! For the algorithm!
I'm just thinking that they should have used the restroom on Hadar's manifestations. When Nova said she has to pee. It would have been great if they all just took a break, and went on a Hadar mouth or something😂
Am I the only on reeling from the gurren lagann reference that is Hadar. He is literally just the anti spiral i.e. Stopping mortal evolution to "save the universe ".
Mark keeps saying this is the penultimate episode, only two episodes left and things like that. Would be funny if they all just died this episode so the campaign ends here, just to prove him wrong. But well, I'm writing this at the very beginning of the episode and I hope this is not the case. I think I'm not a fan of high level D&D, but the world Mark created, the characters in this, they're just great. And even though this is the highest of high level campaigns, it's still pretty good. This is probably the best character I've ever seen from Trott especially and I'm definitely looking forward to Campaign 3. Also, it's kinda strange, but somehow four of the best DMs I know online and offline all are either called Matt or Mark.
Congrats on da bab Rhi! Also any theories on who the souls that are being effectively broken away from Hadar? Or are they characters that I am just forgetting about?
Spoilers Sentry: "Why?" Hadar: "Because you mortals will break everything." Me: "THEN WHY DEVOUR THE GODS?!?!" It's far easier to watch than to play though, so I doubt I'd have this thought if I sitting at the table.
Why is it called Gaze of Ending when he has no eyes?! It's a small thing to be critical of and that's owing to the great job Mark's done here. But it's a pretty silly name for an eyeless beings attack.

Thank you again for everything over the years guys, I am so conflicted about Aerois ending tbh😂😢
True final boss, the resurrected cows.
Congratulations Rhiannon on your brand new little Goblin.
Just a bit disappointed they didn't call it Smeek
Please mark, we need a bit for the finale
imagine it. Subverting expectations, the bit to end it all.
@@phaerlaxI hope not (but it would be funny)
The finale is the final bit. A true send of to aerois
*off
We need one to break the stress! I have a level of exhaustion from listening.
Congrats to Rhiannon & her partner on the new addition. Welcome to parenthood from down in New Zealand ❤🎉
Congratulations Rhi!! ❤❤

Also I think it helped that Rhi was new to the game as well so it was like I was learning with her which was nice

Voldermort vibes from Hadar's voice. Love it!
I came to see Hadar! Podcasters like me missing out!
Nova. The Sam to Lucius' Frodo. 😭
I am 100% picturing all of this as a NES RPG, complete with pixel art cutscenes.
And congrats to Mark's loose shirt
Congrats Rhiannon!
"aila smash" LMAO
When Hadar invites you over for dinner, know that you are the dinner.
The simultaneous “right” at 34:40 gave me such One Piece vibes, holy crap.
About to start this, if this is really the last episode, I am very sad i didnt get to watch it live like I wanted.
just caught up on the vods yesterday. ERE WE GO
PENULTIMATE EPISODE
This campaign's been a fucking gurren lagann season this whole time hasn't it
I don't know what to do with only one episode left. Clear skies..
its mark making himself cry that gets me everytime LOL

starbreaker makes a lot more sense with that revelation lmao, Mark wears his influences on his sleeve.
The team, * sees the big bad, gets ready *
Quil * sees big bad, mouth, mouth, mouthy boi. *
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA here we go!
Congrats Rhi!! And welcome to your new little less planty and metally Echo!

Also any theories on who the souls that are being effectively broken away from Hadar? Or are they characters that I am just forgetting about?
I think they're just the original divines of the universe that Hadar consumed?
@@kellygingrich4302 that's a pretty solid theory
@@TheDarthWarlok Siaska did say they were a divine, or ghost of a divine at least!

Sentry: "Why?"
Hadar: "Because you mortals will break everything."

Let’s gooooo!!!
Where is Max? I know Kalus and Siaska are there, but isn't he still sworn to protect Valla?

Kingdom hearts vibes

Because it is a red orb and literally every Hadar-Touched has been described with red glowing eyes (Sorry for necro)
