      You want to see massive power look up mexico beach hurricane Micheal footage. One video in particular is a GoPro left to record the storm. In the video you can see a timelapse of the storm you can see it blow entire buildings away and see it wash the asphalt of hwy 98 away.

      @@danielgoober2914 sunlight arrives at earth in a yellow tone, and the sky is blue. The storm changes the light shining through, and yellow and blue make green. This is a common phenomenon in powerful, windy storms.

      I'm from the area. On the other side of that bridge is where all the chaos happened. The bridge comes from Panama City Beach, and that area looked like a bad thunderstorm went through. But on the other side of the bridge, it looked like a tornado came through.

      Panama City Beach had very minimal damage. As you go east along the coast the damage gets much worse. The hardest hit area was Mexico beach which was almost completely leveled. Panama City and Callaway were devastated as well. Where I live in Gulf county Florida we had major damage as well but nothing like Mexico beach. Please continue to pray for all the areas hit by this massive storm as there are thousands that have lost everything and many are living in tents.

    I rode this storm out. This is the west edge of the storm and DOES NOT do justice to the damage done to Panama City, Mexico Beach and surrounding areas. Panama City beach was open for business as usual the next day, it took me and three friends two days to cut my way out of my yard. I live 20 miles east of where this Video was shot. Panama City will be years recovering.

      I live in Wewahitchka. We stayed and rode the storm out. My best friend rode it out in Mexico beach about three blocks from tucans. He also took videos from inside the house as the storm surge filled the house with about five feet of water. This storm was a massive monster and I hope we never see another one of this power in my lifetime.

    We rode this out too - we live about a mile and a half in the direction you are looking on the left. Our house did just fine (lost the fence and sheds) but we were lucky. That said, Jerry Wilson Roofing had put on a new roof for us about two years ago and we were just about the only house without roof damage. Just giving him a plug because without his great work we would have had a mess like everyone else round us; we are so thankful. So many of our friends lost a lot - it sure is sad but the town is strong and it will do just fine. Pray for the people who lost everything - they need our support. Oh, and this video is about 12 min to long - cut that much of the front end and it would be perfect. Thanks for posting it.

    Wow! Those trees & utility poles took that storm like a boss! I don't think anything even got uprooted.
    Notice at the height of the storm the sky went into that classic green color. Just like in the great plains when you have severe weather & a tornado might be forming. That continues to be an ominous sign, when you see the sky going green, some really bad weather is at hand & you need to get undercover! Great video!
    Would've been awesome if we got to see the eye go right overhead!

      Phil Carroll some believe that some tornadoes spun off of the main storm and did damage. It is possible that some of the chaos came from tornadoes.

    • @Vector_Ze
      @Vector_Ze 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@absinthexiii4376 It's possible there were tornadoes embedded, that is pretty common. But, with sustained straight-line winds of 150 MPH and higher gusts, no tornado is necessary to explain the tornadic-like damage. Embedded tornadoes are never as strong as the midwest monsters. An EF-2 tornado could've passed through your neighborhood and been effectively masked by the hurricane winds...gone unnoticed. It's for certain tornadoes didn't cover all of the impacted 30-mile wide swath that resembles tornado damage.

We that live east of Panama City Beach got hammered. We still have thousands that have been displaced.
