it's either my monitor is on crack because when I put my to 75 Hertz it seemed like it was going up to 240 it was a completely different refresh rate I was able to 100% tell the difference between 120 hertz and 240 hertz on a 75 Hertz monitor so that means I must of overclocked it two around, I'll.say 240FPS
Downside, you need to supply frames by using simpler graphical games or by getting stronger hardware. I love HFR gaming, but it's not that easy to apply.
Try different resolutions, my 80 dollar scepter monitor that’s supposed to be 1080p has a mode where I can use 1600x900 at 75hz. I guess it varies from monitor because my brothers 270 dollar 60hz dell monitor doesn’t have any supported 75hz mode at all

This works I overclocked my 60hz monitor to 75hz (because it doesn't go further) with Nvidia control panel , increase your refresh rate by 5 each time and then test it if your monitor still displays something it works and keep doing that until it says it's not supported decrease your refresh rate by 5 and save
Hi, good video and I like your explanations, but one thing to note is that 144fps on a 60hz monitor won't look as smooth as 60fps in 60hz since 144 isn't a multiple of 60, and therefore you get some skipped frames. A way to bypass this is to simply use intervals of 60 (120, 180, 240) stuff like that, but nevertheless great video anyways

If you have a 60hz monitor cap ur FPS at 60. If u are 144hz or 240hz cap ur FPS at that. Any higher FPS than refresh rate causes screen tearing. DO NOT use 144fps on 60hz. Higher refresh rate is about smoothness, which makes you faster. You need a higher refresh rate for these benefits.

No; they are two separate things. FPS is how many frames your gaming computer is producing or drawing, while the refresh rate is how many times the monitor is refreshing the image on the screen. The refresh rate (Hz) of your monitor does not affect the frame rate (FPS) your GPU will be outputting.
I game at 144 FPS give or take, and i have a 75Hz Monitor, and see the DIFFERENCE.. No offense for those people who think this, you're obviously not educated or experienced with this, and no it isn't pointless... Have a good day :)
Im honestly not sure. Give it a shot. I used a 60hz monitor and overclock to 75HZ. I believe 75hz monitors are just 60hz monitors that are preoverclocked!

btw, AOC the monitor featured in this video make sum cheap ultra wide 4k and curved 1080P 144 Hz monitors. If 144hz is not in your budget they do make 75 Hz 1080P curved monitors somewhere between the range of 24-27 inches

I've noticed this on minecraft because my old pc was garbage and I could tell when I was running at 200+ fps and when it was 60, moving through menus or even just moving in general felt so much better on higher fps
PC Fortnite by default has less input delay than on console. Also you can turn off VSync which gives it even less input delay. It’s true that higher FPS does decrease input delay, but the big difference is most likely the former. Take it from someone who’s played Fortnite on a mid-tier laptop PS4 pro back and forth.
For best 60Hz gaming experience is option only 120FPS. If you cap 60FPS than your FPS low Will be 30-40FPS if you run 120FPS than your FPS low Will be 60-80 So your latency will improve double. If you run more FPS you just only wasting power without any benefit. And this 120FPS you should use only in Fast multiplayer games. But remember that your internet latency is more important than 120FPS.
I was a 60hz, 60fps gamer. But when I got me some money in my pocket, I decided to buy a 240 fps monitor and RTX Zotac 2070, it was a huge difference. For me, it was so much smoother, so much better and I didn't regret anything when I bought that. If u think I can't see any difference even when u change to 144hz, ur delusional. I even still see the difference when I changed to 144hz just for testing. Its still much smoother than 60hz if u even tried it

It's not pointless. You will feel the difference. The only sacrifice youll have to make is dealing with a bit of screen tearing here and there.

To be safer while overclocking your monitor don’t bump it to 75 immediately try increasing it slowly

The difference between 60hz and 75hz was drastic when I tried it for the first time
60hz to 75hz has no difference at all, probably placebo effect. Try 120hz or above then you'll see the difference

when i change it to 75 my monitor comes up with a mesage saying out of range

Try 74 then 73 and so on and so forth till it can handle it

The response time and speed overall is still faster at a high fps on 60hz.A higher refresh rate just makes the pixels look smoother.

No; they are two separate things. FPS is how many frames your gaming computer is producing or drawing, while the refresh rate is how many times the monitor is refreshing the image on the screen. The refresh rate (Hz) of your monitor does not affect the frame rate (FPS) your GPU will be outputting.

Im honestly not sure. Give it a shot. I used a 60hz monitor and overclock to 75HZ. I believe 75hz monitors are just 60hz monitors that are preoverclocked!

btw, AOC the monitor featured in this video make sum cheap ultra wide 4k and curved 1080P 144 Hz monitors. If 144hz is not in your budget they do make 75 Hz 1080P curved monitors somewhere between the range of 24-27 inches

I'm on a 60hz laptop and I can get 180 fps on fortnite. Compared to my old pc (which was so bad that I couldn't even do schoolwork anymore) I got a temporary laptop until I build my godly pc with the best parts and a 360hz monitor for my bday in ab a few months. But from what I realized it feels so different and it still feels like I'm on a high refresh rate monitor. Feels good

I've noticed this on minecraft because my old pc was garbage and I could tell when I was running at 200+ fps and when it was 60, moving through menus or even just moving in general felt so much better on higher fps
PC Fortnite by default has less input delay than on console. Also you can turn off VSync which gives it even less input delay. It’s true that higher FPS does decrease input delay, but the big difference is most likely the former. Take it from someone who’s played Fortnite on a mid-tier laptop PS4 pro back and forth.

Is the overclocked 75 hz screen stable with V sync off?
For best 60Hz gaming experience is option only 120FPS. If you cap 60FPS than your FPS low Will be 30-40FPS if you run 120FPS than your FPS low Will be 60-80 So your latency will improve double. If you run more FPS you just only wasting power without any benefit. And this 120FPS you should use only in Fast multiplayer games. But remember that your internet latency is more important than 120FPS.

I was a 60hz, 60fps gamer. But when I got me some money in my pocket, I decided to buy a 240 fps monitor and RTX Zotac 2070, it was a huge difference. For me, it was so much smoother, so much better and I didn't regret anything when I bought that. If u think I can't see any difference even when u change to 144hz, ur delusional. I even still see the difference when I changed to 144hz just for testing. Its still much smoother than 60hz if u even tried it
