Don't dis The Damned. To me they are the greatest Punk band. Rat is back touring with three other original/early members. 48 years in and they still kick ass live. Seeming them next month and am jacked to see authentic legends.
Such a wise, wise man. The percussion on the first 4 DS albums are the best ever laid down.....just listen to Tunnel of love😮.....the song would not be a classic without your drumming. Thank you Pick👍
Pick is to the point where he has sifted the "wheat from the chaff". Now he just concentrates on what is real and applicable and lets other people argue over the fringe items. I like that. It is maturity.
What an interesting and insightful set of videos, John. Pick is a most expressive and engrossing person to listen to, and your own knowledge complemented the situation completely. Excellent stuff. 👍
Granted, Mark wrote it, composed it, but Pick is the REAL Sultan of swing! No other drummer was able to match up to his magic from Dire Straits' self titled debut LP. Very colorful, sweet & swinging. More often than not, I listen to the Sultans just to hear Pick's wizardry. :)

Rat Scabies is a one in a billion drummer and to be honest, I don't think he could get any better as I don't think there is a better

Jet Black of the Stranglers was an incredible drummer . Rat Scabies is is fast he's like a machine gun . Two of my favourite drummers though

Rat's one of my favourite drummers. I put him up there with Bill Ward and Chuck Biscuits. 🦇🍻

I'd say most bass players could also relate to this pretty well.
A drummer's drummer. Much like Mason or Ringo. They service the song.
I'd MUCH rather listen to the Damned than Dire Straights ...
