      Thanks for the information. I'm interested in this but it sounds intimidating. My background is IT infrastructure delivery and solution, but i didn't really know much on cybersecurity since we have separated department on that so i don't have much exposure..
      I'm in 50-50 whether to go for DevOps as there is huge surging demands recently here or I want to pursue in compliance, bcm or risk manager..

    Hello Nicole, thanks for your videos, they're awesome. I've recently graduated - I studied Security Studies so basically social science. However, we did have a course on Cyber Security from the point of view of international relations and I've always been interested in the topic. That being said, I'd really like to get into the field but I'm not the most technical person (or maybe I haven't given it a proper try). Would you say that GRC could be the go-to branch of cybersecurity for me? And perhaps a starting point to get into the technical part? Thanks a lot for your reply. A.

    very informative. just other day my colleague said that he thinks entry level cybersecurity jobs are 60k to 65k tops. what do you think? do you have any data on starting salaries? I told him normally I have seen peoples reporting close to 100k.

    • @nicoleenesse
      @nicoleenesse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It really depends. Some people have reported 60k, others have reported 100K. There are so many factors!! Location, negotiation skills, company, skill set, education, etc. For instance, I was once offered a job for 70k and talked it up to 110k. There is a range, and unless you negotiate you will get the bottom of the range.
