I absolutely agree with you! My approach is simple. My steps are easy. It’s all about simple rotatable and restock Hable items that fit the needs of your financial family food budget, and the needs of your dietary options. That’s the turtle in the hair approach, but I reached the finish line 1st, slow and easy and slow and steady, wins the race every time! Can’t wait to put out the new content. Shelves will be here tomorrow.
Thanks for mentioning your pet family. When I talk about stocking and buying food for my dog people laugh but I love Smoke just like I love my children plus I do make his food
Absolutely I think of my pets just as much as I think about my children! I would love to go back to making their food, but most of my Chihuahuas have an intolerance to chicken and turkey when it comes to human food. Therefore, it would have to be 90% lean beef, lamb, and bison. The prices have gone up, but if I hit a sale, you can bet I’ll be purchasing it for the Chihuahuas.

There’s a lot coming in store, hoping that I can get it all organized and up here shortly! I plan to do a 52 week bucket challenge list that I’m creating currently and I plan to show everybody how to build a prepper pantry on their budget, they’re a square footage size that they can store their items in and had a prep on a budget while you’re still paying for groceries at the same time! I have three teenagers in the house. I can eat me at a house and home so prepping on a budget plus making sure that I have groceries for every week is a challenge but or maintaining and balancing well so I just wanna share my thoughts and ideas with everyone else to see if it will help others as well.
I have three grocery stores in my area. All on the same road and within 6 miles of each other. In my state, food is taxed at 6% as is all other items. One of the three stores is across the state border that does not tax food. However, all non human food has a sales tax of 9%. I get the sales ads, and apps got all three stores and shop the sale items. I have to factor in the 3% difference in sales tax for pet and non food and 9% for food items.. Als well as the bottle/ 5 cents for drink recycling. My state does not charge the fee. That makes a 60 cent difference in a 12 pac of soda. I check all the areas where they mark down meat/dairy items coming up to the expiration date. (They reduce by 50%.) And use with in 4 days or freeze. I will buy discontinued items as well as clearance. I work very part time in one of the stores and found out the clearance out items mostly because the manufacturer is charging the package. Like I care they change the color or wording on the box. 😮 I only stock up on an item I use AND when its on sale. I fo pay full price for stuff I need but don't put any in the 'pantry stock' until it goes on sale. In the winter there is a lot of now and ice on the country roads I travel on so, like you I don't want to go out in bad weather if I don't need to. Does planning shopping take time....yep. however, if I can plan it out and save money on a weekly/ monthly basis, I will. Thanks gor the up date.

Thank you so much, yes! I’ve been gone for a while dealing with a major health concern, receiving treatment for it and working my way back. We’re going to start over from the ground up rebuilding our pantry one step at a time.
So far so good, we're a state away from you and I understand about the weather thing. I always stock up in the fall to avoid having to get out in the winter. The whole doomsday prepper thing is obnoxious. When they don't have something to talk about they make something up or tell you it's going to be the end times or predicted that in 2 months something is going to happen and here we are a year later and guess what it hasn't happened yet😂.
I completely agree with you! With those types of preppers are doing is Clickbait they’re trying to draw you into their channel. They don’t care about people they care about adds revenue, which is making money on TH-cam! They’re not down to teach anybody anything they want people to be scared to prep because they always tell people that the governments gonna come after you! I completely, opposed to these hyper preppers and think their channels should be shut out. I’m a slow and steady prepper. There is no drama. There is no predictions of the future. Yes, I freeze tomatoes whole if I don't use them. I save them up until I have enough to make a sauce or salsa!!
Awesome sauce I’m definitely gonna start freezing some tomatoes cause that’s exactly what I use tomatoes for a lot of times salsa

Frozen whole tomatoes peel like a dream under hot tap water...they just rub off.
