Lots of great dslr deals out there. I picked up a Canon 5d mark iv with 24-40, 24-105 and 100mm ISM 2.8. Also included, Ikelite 5div housing, 2- 161 ikelite strobes with dual cord and single cord. All this for $1700 !!!!!!!! The 5div had under 3000 shutter count! The guy sold it because he upgraded to R5.

I love my D500 and won't be sell it any time soon. All great point guys. If people have the money why not but while I could afford to do that I'll spend it on more trips.

My 5D Mark III was fantastic. Still, the move to my Sony A7RV was totally worth it on all fronts. If you're a hobbyist then stay with the DSLR. If you're a serious amateur or pro - switch now to mirrorless and sell any DSLR gear while it's still worth something.

I saw B&H dropped the price for some brand new Canon EF lens price lower than used one at eBay.

Those existing DSLR owners should not upgrade to mirrorless unless DSLR is limiting to getting their job done or into movies. Those new buyers should absolutely go with mirrorless system because DLSR lens ecosystem is dead. Invest into ecosystem that is alive and supported for future. If one is just one camera and one lens for life kind of person, then it doesn't matter.

You don't make a good argument for going with SLR cameras compared with your argument for mirrorless 🙂
Mirrorless all the way (I won't refuse a free d850 rig however 😊)
