Sometimes, TH-cam's algorithms give me random older videos that are not relevant to what I want to see...
And SOMETIMES, they pitch me diamonds. So glad this video popped up in my feed today. Loved the visual analogy -- really helpful! And it came with a free side of nostalgia for high school science class, to boot.

I attended a corporate training on effective planning a number of years ago and they demonstrated the concept the same way. It's really effective and important to start with the biggest things planned out first. The little things will fit into place afterward but if we start with those, we'll not have room for the big things. It's kind of a weird paradox because it's the same amount of stuff that needs to get done. Thanks Damian!

Value in terms of social media content is something that the majority of music people simply do not understand. A rule of thumb is to extend how you respond to other people's content, if you go "Meh" and choose to ignore content, then your own will gain a similar response. Communication, and quality matter.

AMAZINGG video as always brother Damo!
I can't believe your channel isn't the most popular of its kind on TH-cam! I have been so BEYOND impressed by your content over and over that it's obvious and clear to me that you are clearly the best on TH-cam (at least that I've ever discovered).
Thank you so much for always providing such top-notch content. Your explanations, advises, and teachings are perpetually concise, useful, and prolific to boot! That ALONE makes you stand head and shoulders above every other TH-cam channel teaching music careers that I've found. I feel like my efficiency levels are rising dramatically with every video consumed.
I want you to know, Damo, that you are fantasic and deserve all of the BEST success with your endeavours (:
I'm excited to be getting to a place of financial efficacy and thriving so that I can better support you and also invest in myself at the same time.
    Cheers!

      @@DamianKeyes You're so very welcome! ^-^
I know how it feels to receive quality, in-depth feedback on work that you pour yourself into and you deserve it!
So glad to hear I could uplift and ABSOLUTELY I am, but I'm just shocked it's not more popular than it already is.
      This is the gold 👌💯🔥

Hey, I hope you put those stones back on Brighton beach afterwards but seriously, you are dead right we all have too many small stones on our social media. Its a daily struggle to find the interesting odd shaped ones that fill the bucket, but I keep at it and keep trying.

Question that occurred to me after sitting on this video for an hour or two:
Have you seen any difference in visibility on platforms like Facebook and Twitter for scheduled vs. unscheduled posts? Would be curious to know your opinion, Damo!

What sized stone would a music video be? I try to get 1 out per week plus the occasional vlog and live footage. Is that enough when it comes to video content? Should I try and do a video of some sort every day (maybe the music video 1 day, then live archive footage the next, a vlog the following day, then maybe do a live stream style performance, and so on).
Do you think there is any value in uploading rough mixes and demos while working on an album? Would that take away some of the mystery or surprise factor when the album is released?

How many bass players can have babies? 😂 And when those babies are born, those bass players have to leave the band to get regular, if crappy paid jobs ! Babies and bands don't go together...
