    It's a shame this didn't work although the idea that the West Bank wasn't going to be given fully to Palestinian control might have something do with the objections to it.

    • @Licardo7
      @Licardo7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Of course. To have most of the land you can use be under Israeli control is entirely objectionable. Not only that, it’s land that Palestinians just liberated from themselves from the Ottoman Empire that is being cut up for someone else just because the British said so

    If you watch "Tricky Netanyahu", you understand (from Netanyahu himself) why it didn't work out... You could also argue that all the hostilities derived from that time was caused by Netanyahu, and some even would say that 7th of October was the best thing that could happen to N. given that he can now grab even more land...

    Found mistake: They weren't called Palestinians in 1947. Simply Arabs or Palestinian Arabs (Because Palestinians weren't just Arabs. They were in fact the Zionists). The partition did not say "Israel/Palestine" state; Palestine was the land that was divided. The division was "Arab State / Jewish State". Arabs did not identify themselves as Palestinians until the 1960's.

    The accord tried to ignore a fundamental right enshrined in international law: the right of return of every Palestinian refugees who fled or otherwise left their homes during the Zionist invasion. That right is passed to the descendants as well. No politician can arbitrarily remove or simply ignore that right which every person in the world can exercise in similar circumstances.
    Using another example: If a thief steals your car, the thief must return it to you. No excuses.

      U will never have peace as long as ur living in previous grievances. At times, both sides have been wrong. Today, Israel is in the wrong. U, the Israeli Jews, have refused to either allow a democracy where the Israelis and Palestinians have equal rights, equal freedoms, and the right to self-govern or agreed to a 2 state solution. As long as that’s the case and Israel controls all of Israel and Palestine, u will never have peace and will never be seen as in the right by the majority if the world. Today, the Israeli Jews have become Hitler and the Germans and the Palestinians have become Hitler’s Jews. My grandfather fought in WWII and lost his life for the Jews. If he saw what the Israeli Jews were doing to the Palestinians today, he’d want his life back and would regret saving the Jews! For everyone who fought in WWII, the Israeli Jews, and the many Jews around the world who support the current Israeli Jews, u r not showing ur appreciation for what so many sacrificed to save ur ppl. Don’t become the evil that at one time was done to u and don’t keep this conflict going making US taxpayers pay for ur behavior in money and the Palestinians pay for it in loss of life, land, self-governance, equal rights and freedoms, and possessions just because u think ur group is superior and more deserving of Palestinian land. Ur in the wrong and not living per ur religion. Using history and religion to justify evil is the oldest trick in the book and it’s wrong!

      The so called "Palestinians" today are Arabs. They have zero relationship with each other.
