I had ADG Absolu bought for me after being confused with code Absolu, was pleasantly surprised with it. Most surprising trait of it is I can get 2 days wear or so out of 2 sprays, it’s very well performing
Profumo is the best. Profondo lights close second, it is really underrated, it smells like profondo but with the herbal/ slight incense vibe from Profumo.
Aqua Di Gio EDP is hit and miss for me, I LOVE it! But I love it on my own... I can wear it and only myself can get whiffs of it and appreciate it, I've only had one or two compliments from it. (had it for months now) It's definitely a go-to fragrance, for ME personally right now.

I wanted to buy Profondo because of the hype on TH-cam. Then I tried it and didn't like it. Smells very synthetic and artificial to my nose. Bought the EdP instead. The real king is Profumo, though. Thanks for your videos!

My personal favorite is Profumo, but I get more compliments on Profondo, as people seem to like that one better (especially younger people). Regarding Profumo: smelled the original ADG when visiting my nephew, and was super impressed. Visited him recently and smelled the Profumo--total letdown. (To be fair, I'm a freshie/neroli fiend.) Profumo smells way heavier (and thus "perfumey")--which is not at all what drew me to the original. I barely found them similar. Ash is incorrect in picking it above the original! Though am sure it's cuz he's burned out on the former. Went to the trouble of posting this because I was going to buy Profumo blind based on all the rave reviews -- and, critically, on my liking the original -- and I would've been totally disappointed.
I have for summer Absolu and also Versace Dylan Blue. Love them both. If you would have that same situation would you use Absolu for x kind of situations and Dylan Blue for y kind of situations? Do you see some kind of difference? Or would you use them split 50/50?
My question is this, after watching a number of these videos, none of these experts pick the original, but the public still does by a wide margin why is this?. I feel like they are all trying to pick something newer not better.
Not trying to hate on people who love Absolu, but when it came out My friend and I thought it didn’t fit the line at all. We even feared that ADG was trying to go a completely new direction with the DNA. It was a dumpy ride 😒

So true. Most videos/opinions I see on it lean more on the critical side. Of the ADG line I only own profumo and absolu, and absolu is a way more pleasant and enjoyable fragrance imo. I don't particularly dislike profumo, but it is ridiculously overrated.
Same here I can still remember the first time that I smelled the original ADG. I did pick up the EDP and I’m not disappointed, it definitely is a more mature smelling version of the of ADG but so am I definitely feels like the fragrance grew up with me. I say you should get it.
With all the ADG releases (and without getting my nose on the new EDP yet), my fave in the line is still Profumo. Love the incense and patchouli in that one. One of my fave fragrances I own by far! 👍

My favorite thing about ADG is that the base scent DNA is so timeless. Everyone and their grandmother has smelled it a billion times by now, but no matter which one you wear, you are getting compliments left and right
My wife bought me Profumo and it was the beginning of my fragrance collection journey! 😅 Got a lot of love for it, and she will always love it as well - needless to say it will be a staple in my collection for as long as I can find it! 😂

Clearly the most accurate description of the currently available ADG line, as a result of Ash’s passion and years of experience wearing the fragrances. I have learned to appreciate the OG and flankers in large part due to him. I even took Profondo on vacation to Hawaii to enjoy and compare with the actual smells of the ocean.
Im a woman and LOVE absolu. Its like perfect - long lasting, doesnt give me a headache, spicy and woody and also some what neutral (not super super macho masculine scent). Would love this on a guy OR a girl.
My favorite is Absolu and Profumo but I love the whole collection. Absolu is an absolute monster in the compliment department women of all ages love it

Could be as it’s gotten older over time people don’t wear it as much as they used to, so people don’t recognize it as easily as in years past? Not sure. Profumo was the best version of ADG and Armani dumbly discontinued it. And the bottles since 2022 are worse on the presentation, feel and luxury. Profumo back years ago sported a magnetic cap and premium reflective font paint on the bottle. Armani's been getting it wrong in recent years.

I had the original, have been wearing Profondo for some months from a sample of it, and tried Profumo at a shop. for me, *Profondo* is a best of all three, as the "vineagerish" note of an OG in it has been slightly cut, yet keeping it fresh and clean, like an original. *Profumo* on my skin gets down to an OG composition in the next 20-30 min after applying, so personally I see no reason to overpay for this variant. maybe I didn't wear it often enough, who knows. and *Absolu* for me is just a bad take over the washing bowder with a bubble-gum sweetness, this one didn't fit me at all, so I've given a small bottle of it to one of my friends - and he got it well! :) in any case, I'll try it as soon, as I am able to. greetings from Ukraine. :)
I’ve been seeing the Profumo on top 10’s in fragrances, so I bought it, I’m trying to expand my collection, I have 2 bangers in YSL Y EDP and the Bleu de Chanel EDP
I still just rock the OG when I’m just around the house and then Absolu. Absolu, to me, doesn’t get the credit it deserves, imo, and doesn’t get as sickly sweet as things like Hawas and Invictus Aqua, and retains a bit of the minerality and freshness of the ADG line, which is something I dig. Absolu is more versatile than people give it credit for. I think bc the OG became what it did without any sweetness, the introduction of a more sweet leaning frag seemed to be a bit of a challenge to interpret within the line. For me, Absolu might slide in with guys that don’t tend to go for sweet fragrances bc the sweetness is reigned in while providing a more mature profile than your average sweet fragrance. While Invictus Aqua, Legend Spirit and Rasasi Hawas are all akin to each other, Absolu says ‘I can pay homage to that scent profile without triggering those who don’t care for sweet, AND make it work for more seasons and scenarios’. That’s how much I think Absolu is misunderstood, if I’m being honest.
i got a sample of the original scent in Parfum, i think it smells like Irish Spring soap crossed with some of Grannys Dior... definitely not for me i took the shirt off and tossed it in the laaundry... smelled terrible IMO
Got to be honest my first armani was mania. Then i was put on gio by the lady at belks. Hooked since became signature scent as well. Then Ezzenza cam out and blew it away. Out of these you listed id say profumo is my favorite for sure
Ah. I was hoping you’d talk about Blue Edition , most people don’t even know it existed. I was able to score a 200ml size of it a month or two back and man… what a gem. That persimmon note gives it such a beautiful variation. Lands in between the OG & Profondo in my opinion.
@@umpus unfortunately it was a limited run back on 2014. I have no idea how I got so lucky to get it from the only seller that had 1 and kept it intact & pristine over 7 years! I do wish it was a permanent one, way better than most ADG.
There's something in the aqcua di gio DNA that's smell dated to me something green, although absolu is my favourite and i hope they don't discontinue it
My favorite has to be absolut. It's great for all weathertypes, which is great. Also, It gets a crazy amount of compliments, especially from ladies. In fact when I bought it, I was shopping with 3 women from all ages and they all picked absolut out of the line up. I'm never understand why it gets so much hate

I'm sad how I only had one back up bottle of profumo and now it is literally discontinued and I haven't found anything to confirm that it's not. The main site doesn't even have any.
I really dont know why but every adg I tried smells great for the First half hour and then turns into a very unpleasent biting in the Nose unbalanced smell. I really dont know why. Profumo is the only one which I can wear Unfortunately.

You should keep this format for other fragrance lines. That would be cool. You'd have your work cut out for fragrances like Le Male though

Sometimes Im sleeping and smell it and I think it rubs off onto my pillow and lasts that long. its great!

After the original I only used Essenza, and up to this day I regret not to take back up bottles.
Glad I stocked up and still have 4 bottles of Essenza (455 ml)

Absolu is a criminally underrated designer fragrance. And easily the most underrated in the ADG line.
My Girl loves it, I wore it on the first day we met.
Its pretty much my and my brothers everyday scent. Love it.

Profumo is the way to go. Really love it, although it became quite expensive here in Europe, especially in Germany.

Got to be honest my first armani was mania. Then i was put on gio by the lady at belks. Hooked since became signature scent as well. Then Ezzenza cam out and blew it away. Out of these you listed id say profumo is my favorite for sure

Ah. I was hoping you’d talk about Blue Edition , most people don’t even know it existed. I was able to score a 200ml size of it a month or two back and man… what a gem. That persimmon note gives it such a beautiful variation. Lands in between the OG & Profondo in my opinion.

@@umpus unfortunately it was a limited run back on 2014. I have no idea how I got so lucky to get it from the only seller that had 1 and kept it intact & pristine over 7 years! I do wish it was a permanent one, way better than most ADG.

Acqua di gio Profumo.. can't beat it! Profondo just doesn't last. Same on my skin as the new edp.. love it.. but doesn't last
There's something in the aqcua di gio DNA that's smell dated to me something green, although absolu is my favourite and i hope they don't discontinue it

Absolute instinct is the most underrated imo. It has similarities with Profumo. I would def check this one out. Back up bottle worthy

I haven't smelled all of these side by side yet but the EDP smells best off the top... profondo or EDP for me so far!
My favorite has to be absolut. It's great for all weathertypes, which is great. Also, It gets a crazy amount of compliments, especially from ladies. In fact when I bought it, I was shopping with 3 women from all ages and they all picked absolut out of the line up. I'm never understand why it gets so much hate

My favorite out of the 3 I’ve had was essenza . Loved the original before it was reformulated. Currently on the last 2 oz of my Profumo with the magnetic cap

I'm sad how I only had one back up bottle of profumo and now it is literally discontinued and I haven't found anything to confirm that it's not. The main site doesn't even have any.
I was lucky to find two 40ml bottles of Profumo on 50% discount. After that haven't seen it in any store.

Facts.
I really dont know why but every adg I tried smells great for the First half hour and then turns into a very unpleasent biting in the Nose unbalanced smell. I really dont know why. Profumo is the only one which I can wear Unfortunately.
ADG EDP is my favorite. I could change out these 4 anytime.
