JOHN DONNE The Good morrow

This video lesson deals with two aspects: one is for students of literature who can learn to critically analyse John Donne’s poem “The Good-morrow” and the other is for language learners who can gain mastery over LSRW as well as language skills of grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary etc. The terms Metaphysical poetry is explained as well as other literary words such as enjambment, rhetorical question, metaphysical conceit, etc. The concept of love as it evolves from the physical to the spiritual, the borrowing of Biblical references, geographic and exploration terms are also explained. How to designate rhyme scheme is given.
Then for language learners the video is an excellent resource for listening and speaking. It can be used to learn all the complex structures of language, vocabulary and pronunciation. It is a good example of how language is learned through literature.
