Nice rod young man I was looking at abu Garcia rod's they build a nice rod custom reel seat's they are well balanced, light , sensitive, they have a nice tip I was going to buy the tournament series rod's. but I went with another company. I like the white and black veritas that looks alot sharper than just regular white. Another thing I hear they have a nice parabolic bend to them . Good luck to you and God bless you and your family.
They are definitely slick looking and they do have a nice parabolic bend to them as well. Definitely a good price on them as well.
I also have loved the last couple generations of Veritas rods. Can't wait to try these new ones when the ice melts
They have been my favorite so far good quality, good action and good price. Tight lines!
They look so much better with the black and white.
@@nelhead4807 I'm right there with ya
Good stuff buddy! Enjoyed the video and hope that you and Caroline are doing great! Appreciate you both!
Appreciate it man, we are doing great! Thanks for watching!
Abu Garcia is no doubt my favorite brand of all the brands I've used so far they have been my favorite I love the new color scheme
I love the feel and affordability. But the higher end Abu gracias that I've gotten my hands on have been awesome as well. Easy choice for me.
Thanks for the review, its nice to be able to see a rod up close before pulling the trigger if you can only get them online. Once tip I would give is to slightly lower the music volume at the start. It sort of competes with your voice. Tight Lines!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the feedback. I'll take your tip to heart for future videos.
I love the Garcia stuff as well. Will tell you though, the 5th gen Revo x does not have an aluminum frame. It has a C6 carbon frame and side plates. To get the aluminum frame you have to step up to the Revo SX. I have a few of the Zenon rods and reels combos and they are some of the lightest most sensitive rods I’ve ever put in my hands. And the Zenon reels are awesome too. Don’t know if they are that much better than my Revo STX’s for the price though. Anyway, have a good one and keep up the good work.
@@michaelrobinson6988 hey thanks for the correction I probably should get the specs directly from Abu Garcia instead of sportsman. I do like the zenon stuff as well. I just couldn't image trying to have all xenon stuff for tournaments
I've been using the Veritas since they came out. It feels like these rods were custom made for me. Can't wait to get the new one.
I know exactly what you mean!
Great video. I have a few of the white Veritas rods and yes the only thing i dislike is the white EVA grip discoloration. They should have put the Winn grip on it in grey like the LTD version. Slowly adding the entire SX reel line up to my arsenal. I have the older Revo SX along with the spinning reel but just got 3 of the new SX bait casters, new spinning SX and the SX Rocket. . Next will be the STX Revo. Probably one of the best Aesthetically pleasing reels out there IMO.
@@AWSect79 honestly the big handles detoured me at first but after using them I have fallen in love with the new sx
Vertias wasn’t the first lineup of rods for every technique. 😂 Cmon man
I'm sure its not the first mass production rod series that covered all techniques. I guess I should have said that its the first mass production rod series that I felt cover all techniques well. For example I also liked the Lews KVD series rods but the flipping rod I felt was lacking. Or the 13 fishing omen series the cranking rod I felt was lacking. I'm sure if I wanted to step up into the lews pro series rods or custom series rods I would get that consistency through out the series. But for the price range of under $150 I find that the veritas is the most consistent across the board. At lease for me.
@ I would say as of right now, Shimano SLX lineup has the best bang for your buck as far as rods and reels. And then the Daiwa Tatula lineup. The Veritas rods are average, but i feel there are better rods on the market in that 100-150 price range. But as long as you like them, go for it! Everyone has their own opinion on TH-cam, and everyone has a fishing channel.
@ that in itself is one of the best things about fishing. There really are no rules and often subjective. Awesome suggestions by the way. Those are 2 solid choices
