*Thoughts:* Bosnia & Herzgovina is my fav of the former Yugoslav nations at ESC, I think... pretty much no terrible songs, above average number of great songs, a good few all time fav entries, an amazing debut, and lots of variety between songs.
Bosnia and Herzegovina... This country was AMAZING at Eurovision. Lejla and Rijeka Bez Imena are still one of my favorite ESC songs. I understand the lyrics and I can say I like it. I'm still waiting for their comeback... I miss them😭
Best thing about Lejla is that M a r t i n vucic (North Macedonia 2005) gave 12 points to it Anyway my favorite is 2010 Pro tip: Don't listen to Moment of Silence (Romania's 2016 entry) with headphones on at max volume
Interesting fact: the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the city of Sarajevo. "Saray" in russian means a barn. "Sarai" in kazakh means a palace. So, what did they really mean? :"|
Bosnia & Herzegovina, according to a project I did along with ESC Clarinet Moon (amazing TH-camr, you should check him out, he makes very interesting content for a Eurovision channel), is my 8th favourite Eurovision country of all time! And they do have quite a lot of awesome songs in their catalogue. Here's my opinion! 13. 2005 - 3,5/10 Never been a fan of this one. And it's even not the fault of the girl trio, I usually don't like the sound of them, but it wasn't bad this time. I just think that the song is very basic and is very low in the "nothing special" category. 12. 2002 - 4/10 Maybe I'd like this one better if I didn't forget it after every time I listened to it. 11. 2007 - 5/10 The same can be said about this song. I can appreciate a good Balkan ballad, but this one just disappears in the pile of Balkan ballads. 10. 2008 - 6/10 I really like the calm beginning of the song. It would have been better if the song didn't explode out of nowhere. This one had potential. 9. 2001 - 7,5/10 Experimental and mystical, I like it! Very interesting and memorable entry. 8. 2003 - 7,5/10 This one might seem like a cheap catchy song, and... it is, but it's all about the execution. I like what they did with the song. 7. 2004 - 7,5/10 Upbeat and fun entry. It's also very catchy. 6. 2016 - 8/10 Like I said, I can appreciate a good Balkan ballad. It's interesting how this was the entry that failed to qualify for Final, it definitely deserved qualification. I'm not a fan of the rap part, but the other stuff is nice. 5. 2010 - 9/10 I love rock in Eurovision, I'd say that this is close to heavy metal, but not quite there. Anyway, the chorus might be my favourite part of the song. Very well done. 4. 2012 - 9,5/10 Yeah, this is a great ballad! The vocals are on point, and the ballad really works! It should have finished higher in the final! 3. 2006 - 9,5/10 I'm going with the flow in this one. This ballad is awesome. Definitely in my top 5 of my favourite Balkan ballads (or maybe not, I haven't checked). This time, the buildup is great and is definitely better executed! No wonder this is Bosnia's best result. 2. 2009 - 10/10 Buuut, I still love this Balkan ballad more. I love the instrumental here (to be honest, I love nearly all Balkan ballad instrumentals), and the chorus is very powerful! Love this one! 1. 2011 - 10/10 Magnificent! The melody is amazing, the instrumental is amazing and I love how clever the lyrics are! Dino is a great performer and he delivers this song perfectly! What can I say, it's hard to not love this one! Even starting at the cursed second position didn't stop this song from reaching top 10! Who knows, maybe it would have won if it started later. The point is, this song is awesome and it is my winner of 2011.
Oh, I still have his countries spreadsheet sitting in my email inbox because I don't have any 20th century tops to input into it! I need to start making those, but finalising a ranking takes me sooo long, I'm very indecisive about these things 😂 Thank you for your input 💖 Dino is a legend tbh, also my second of 2011 after Lena. The song makes me so happy and nostalgic.
Ashton Schier, clearly you haven’t seen my comments before on this channel. I always leave a huge comment here. I’ve seen yours, they’re interesting and sometimes too energetic for my taste lol

But 2016 was *ROBBED*
I mean just because it kind of was doesn't mean there aren't at least six Bosnian entries I think are much better 🤔
