Bought an Omega VSJ843Q from John, his favorite slow press juicer in 2017-18. He emailed me back and forth to find out what I wanted to juice, and gave me the best advice. Solid guy, really into it. I'll always go with a person who is excited, and an expert in their chosen field. Those two adjectives tend to go hand in hand, I'm in IT development and know that as a fact, since the people interested in the newest tech learn everthing about it and teach the rest of us. John actually matched my price on the Omega VSJ843Q when someone else had a sale on it. Not a sales pitch here, I don't know John, but I wanted to give him the props he needs for these videos. and I will always buy from him to support his unbiased expertise.

Probably after I retire and have significant amount of time to think up a revolutionary design that has never been made. Im currently too busy to dedicate any time to such a project at this time.

I purchased mine directly from the company a year ago. Great product and I like it a lot but, of course, it's not the only juicer I use. Sometimes I will use the kuvings whole slow juicer for convenience. Sometimes I may use my tribest greenstart, or my omega. It all depends on what I'm making. But if I am not in a rush and I have time, I will always use my pure juicer because it is the best of the best.
Looks a great juicer. Definitely would be interested in a manual version, maybe without the press for people who already have a press. A manual grinder only would also be particularly suitable for international and off-grid use (also reduces the shipping). That would be a good entry level juicer for people who can't afford the full machine as the grinder is the really unique, most valuable part.
The teeth are a great addition, which really makes the finest pulp from carrots or any other firm homogenous-textured produce from my experince. It kind of combines the advantages of an auger juicer with the grating teeth of the Champion juicer. Just brilliant!
OXIDATION: Yes, total yield is a top consideration. However for many people, oxidation is equally important, or even more important to many conscientious consumers. Can you comment on oxidation of the produce with this approach? Especially in comparison to the slow RPM machines that have been designed with this consideration in mind? I am thinking that this point may be the Achilles heel to this gorgeous juicer, but before drawing this conclusion I would love to hear your thoughts, John. Thank you for producing so many informative videos!

I bought the Omega VSJ from you last year and it was the best, most efficient juicer I've had. Super easy to clean. But of course, the VSJ can't use sugar cane. Hehehe😛😛🤑

I am a believer in Gerson Therapy and while I know it's not fully recognized by the medical industry. I am curious though, has it ever been presented to insurance companies as a viable healthy choice that could be subsidized or in whole or part as part of their coverage? I know that politically and legally they can't cover as offical 'treatment' but they often cover healthy devices that encourage a better healthier life because in reality a healthier customer is a more profitable customer for insurance companies. The one who uses their coverage less is a better investment than a sick one.

Some insurance is now paying for "preventative" or "intervention" treatments, such as water fasting at true north health in Santa Rosa, California that will save the insurance company money. It all comes down to money.

I will add that to the list when I am able. I will say the pure will make a higher yield, but the juicer and press will create a respectable yield. That being said, I personally would rather purchase the green star pro instead of using any of those combinations you mentioned.

Just for fun, use the pulp from a normal juicer or slow juicer. I want to see how much pulp comes out from the press if possible.

hey John what about making coconut milk and coconut oil with this machine I think you should do a video with this machine
making coconut milk would probably work well. Grinding up mature coconut meat, then blending with water, and then pressing in press. On coconut oil. That would be interesting to press out home-dried mature coconut shreds. Im not sure what would happen. This machine is not designed to extract coconut oil.

The CS520 is not sold in the USA. It appears to have a different motor, which is not as durable.

LA produce terminal has cane usually in fall/winter season. Otherwise for year round supply can be hard to find. You can purchase it from DR. Jolly Sugarcane in Rosemead, tell him John Kohler sent you.

Not currently. Neither is the Norwalk, but people often use it anyway.
hello John and everybody, pure juicer best for gerson therapy which is using carrot juice mostly. In your videos last few years you are promoting green juices and smoothies which unfortunately contain toxic oxalate. ( Google) . Can you be so kind and research this particular thing and make video about it. ? To be honest looking at your videos over the years is easy to see gradual decrease in your zest, vitality. Green juices and oxalate?

Is it made in China?
Yes, It is Proudly Made in China under supervision and high standards. I have heard they have had to reject parts and/or repair juicers that were improperly made before shipping to the customers to ensure they maintain their high quality. Sure, there are many low-quality products made in China, but there are also high quality products. Many products "made in America" are simply assembled in the USA with foreign parts. I personally would rather purchase a Pure Juicer made in China that includes a 12 year warranty (that is transferable) than a Norwalk juicer made in the USA, simply because the Pure is a superior machine, despite where it is made.
