@@DaMalat hi my name is chetan from England I really enjoyed your video I found it very interesting do you make Yorkshire pudding aswell I am gay nice to meet you
I'll have a go this morning and get back to you with the results. I'll compare a batch of batter with citric acid and one with lemon juice (might be useful to produce a video if it works)
OK. Lemon juice does work to a point. It reacts with the bicarb of soda to give a burst of carbon dioxide then quickly reduces Co2 output. You should try half tsp of bicarb and 1 Tbsp lemon juice and use after 15 seconds or so, no need to wait 1 minute. Using too much lemon juice will obviously affect the flavour so 1 Tbsp seems about right. Hope this helps. Lots of Amazon sellers promoting citric acid though (just make sure it's the edible product, not designed as a descaling agent) www.amazon.co.uk/TRS-11-Citric-Acid-100g/dp/B005I3UDLK/ref=asc_df_B005I3UDLK/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=256254906479&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8686296689687028388&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046455&hvtargid=pla-765251399677&psc=1

Use baking powder instead of the bicarb & acid.
No citric acid here, can I use lemon juice ? 🤔

@@DaMalat thanks for trying that. It's now on the menu for the weekend 😊
Incredible that you did that to answer a question in the comments. I know it was two years ago, but I just wanted to say thank you as well.
