This is definitely a much more realistic space for having kids, than those actual tiny homes you see with some open lofts. Love this

I've watched many DIY home videos, and while everyone shows off their work, none have been as joyful and thankful as you. Everything you introduced to us was like, "THE BEST THING, EVER!" As a home owner, that's what all about, appreciating each accomplishment, and you really put that in prospective.

My husband I have been renovating for about a yearish. I watched you kitchen reno I like almost cried when you guys got the kitchen. I feel the pain of doing dishes in the bathroom. I feel your pain with the changes but celebrate with the growth.
Man, can't tell you how much I love what you've done with the home. It's the same aesthetic/project my wife and I are attempting to do now! We're still in the planning/saving stages. can't wait!
I LOVE it!!! I have 4 kids, but there are 7 years between the first two(15 and 14) and (8 and 6 1/2), they fight like cats and dogs so not sure the lofts would work, but now I have so many ideas! Thanks for sharing
What state are you in? Some manufacturers can build onsite and give you full second story lofts.
I wish I had done that.

Yes! Me too except, I ask my friends and family to let me know a day in advance so that I can have the house "visitor presentable" as I like to say, which the kids hate, because they really have to actually super clean their rooms.

" lol And a message for the grammar police: we don't particularly care for overly critical and judgmental individuals such as yourself. So, suffice it to say, the feeling is mutual. Actually, this is beautiful. this so raw that I can imagine how to build a house. Not every house can complete at one time. The messiness is very realistic and I can relate to that haha.

Just practice fire drills for the kids in the bedrooms. Get a roll up ladder if there ever is a fire they can hook it on the window n escape!

In the space under the stairs in the master bath install a garage door like a roll top desk , use for pkgs.of toilet paper,cleaning supplies...or if accessed from the living room dog crate or bed.

Had the idea to convert a shed as well but unsure if it’s more affordable/possible in my city. Awesome to see one bright to life. Not too small and not too big. Kids get their own room and restroom. Mommy and daddy have privacy. Perfect🤓

Just wish we had the money to build a tiny home. Both if us want one really bad. Thinking about getting a business loan or grant and starting a business building tiny homes. Airbnb would be a great start. Smaller foot print with solar power is awesome. I just need my dish tv. Love my dish. Went to cable for a bit went right back to dish. I pay less and still have all the channels I want. Shark week starts on July 11th. I never miss it. I told my fiance. No matter what we live in dish is coming with us. Lol. Any way can't wait to see what cool things you build. Good luck and don't forget to take time for yourselves so you don't burn out. The kids need mom and dad. You should make a horse trough pool. Use solar water fall to keep the water moving. So no bugs lay eggs in it and some clorine. Your kids will love it

16'x48' with 9 ft. high walls is a great idea to make one big LONG house. I would go to 10 or 12 ft. hgh walls to make up for the narrow width, and give the "cathedral ceiling" effect, with glass French Doors instead of half-size windows. This allows the sunlight to stream in across the floor and the entire space and you can still put furniture in front of them (they don't have to function as doors but can whenever you want!). The whole house could be done in stages as finances permit. Love the additons you added to both sides of the house with the barn / gable roof center. Great videos and so inspiring. Thanks for posting!

💡Once saw a cool hack where a big dog crate was put under a rustic IKEA pine table placed in a corner. (They removed some legs & mounted part on walls to get crate to fit.) The top became a lovely display & staging area. She added pretty curtains along 2 visible sides to conceal crate too, but you could skip that. IKEA has table tops to match your Kallax unit (next to it) that you might be able to put on top of your crate. All that to say, this could give you an extra landing place on top for keys, baskets/bins for incoming/outgoing items (like mail, library books) or decor, lighting, etc. Makes a fine roof for 🐕.
I can't wait to see the final product. I know it's gonna be awesome.

I do the same thing for pictures lol do a diy and everyone is like let's see and I'm like ok and 30 minutes later I send 4 picture of the room with it spotless I either clean it up or r move everything out of the way for pictures

This is great! We little housed it easily when our kids were small. It's been lovely to be in a cozy space with our babies. I became an expert in using vertical space. Now they're 6ft tall teens with different schedules/interests and oh man. It was time to add a couple of bedrooms for the sake of family harmony.

Love the house! One safety comment: Please put some type of safety wrap over the sharp ends of the cables on the stair railings. Those can slice through a hand!

No doubt one of the best floor plans I have seen. Being disabled I would need my bedroom to be on the lower level like yours, no ladder lofts. But your stairs lofts are incredible!!! I would have my washer & dryer inside, & that AWESOME living room space a tv with fireplace. I am soooo wanting to move & already live mobile home small so I have no issues with the 980sq ft I have... Just the ability & funds to do this is in the way. I need warmer weather for health reasons!!! 😢

G'day from down under, I just adore your channel I watch from 🇦🇺 and we have decided to embark on a Aussie homestead journey and blog 2 Middle Agers starting what they should have done back 30 years ago as was our dream however were talked out of by family. So here we go we are 50 and 47 and will be selling up in suburbia and moving to a small acreage. It's daunting but we won't wait and live with regrets anymore.
