Fast forward four years and they barely enforce it.

What's the difference in changing the radio station and changing the radio on your phone?

What’s next? You can’t blink while driving

Sure you can blink, just follow the law and don’t hold your cell phone while driving. Simple, huh?

I thought it was already a rule to keep our hands free. No cheeseburgers, no puppies, no flags held out the window...
Two hands, on the wheel, at 10:00 and 2:00!

They come up with the most idiotic stupid excuses for the new hands free law. People driving don't really care about the new law that just want to have there phones implanted to there ears and hands.

The reason why Georgia bans holding your phone while driving is because when it became illegal in Georgia to text while driving in 2010, the law was unenforceable because dialing phone calls was still allowed and holding the cell phone to your ear and talking was still allowed.

The city of Atlanta has handed out 353 tickets . It's all about the revenue. And what does basketball have to do with anything???

I know they were attempting to ticket me for this twice both times I “ran” and easily got away, they have no chance catching my 750 hp M5, since then I’ve installed 2% tint not to mention I’ve always had hideaway license plates, and usually have my radar detector with me

That's not true! We're trying to make driving the number one thing like it was when cell phones didn't exist.

You have the freedom not to drive on public roads. When you signed for your State issued drivers license, you agreed to abide by all State laws pertaining to driving on those public roads. Or did you not read the fine print? I’ll also point out that driving is a privilege, not a right. If you don’t like that privilege you have the option of turning in your drivers license to your State DMV and take the shoe leather express for your travel needs.
IMO, State law enforcement doesn’t enforce this law enough. I’m getting tired of dodging drivers that aren’t paying attention on the road, swerving across lanes of traffic and driving way below the speed limit in the left lane of the interstate. 20 years ago driving wasn’t as dangerous as it is today because cell phones weren’t in wide use. If I had any say about the issue, I would instill a $500 fine on first offense for holding a cellphone while driving, $500 added for each additional time an individual was charged with the offense with a max of three offenses before mandatory 30 days in county lock up. That would be a total of $1500 fine on third offense and then double that fine on fourth offense to include the jail time. Do ya’ think people would get the message then that texting/holding a cell phone while driving is dangerous?
