  • The Georgia State Patrol still boasts three decades later that it was the first agency in the nation to deploy dash camera systems. But, the statewide law enforcement agency is among the last to use the type of body-worn cameras that have become the standard in police departments large and small.

Even the hick ass, low budget cops in my Georgia county have body cams. GSP literally have armored humvees, skid steers, camaros, challengers, etc but cant afford body cams? Ha. B.s. They don’t want to use them because they don’t want you to know the truth. Typical Georgia law enforcement. They are still back in the Dukes of Hazard days and will stay there until they are made to wear them. They don’t get a choice. They are public servants and they have to held accountable for their lack of transparency. We know what they’re trying to hide.

They don’t need any. Troopers have dash cameras, which are always on. They are always by their vehicle so body cameras would be a waist in money. They would barely be used unless someone wants so see a trooper fill out his MVA report or look at his CAD

Most State Law Enforcement Agencies don't really use body worn cameras because they have 360 degree vehicle camera footage and because of the fact that state troopers don't tend to go too far away from their vehicles mainly due to their assignments on freeways and highways. In addition, some states don't allow bodyworn cameras for state troopers. But I'm not justifying anyone. I'm just stating some facts about state law enforcement in certain circumstances.

@@trishatate327 The fact that they are state makes it that much more expensive. For example, the leading maker of ICC in America is WatchGuard. They sell the 4RE camera that is prevalent across the nation. 720P is its maximum resolution. Each camera costs $7,000 just to own. That does not include installation on each and every car, server costs, software licenses, replacement units, tech support, training, or 4G data needed to upload far away from the station. You can see how expensive that might be when outfitting a fleet of thousands of cars, and then also purchasing body cameras which require all of that and more.

Whether that is a flat out murder, or you not wearing your seatbelt, they have the authority to stop you. It's the way society has worked for the last 200 years. I don't get the way of thinking with a lot of people, "wHy DiD hE sTaNd In FrOnT oF tHe CaR?!?" Because it is his job to detain someone and stop someone from fleeing the scene of a ongoing investigation. That girl literally had the opportunity of going home that day by cooperation and if they believed the police did wrongdoing, fight them in the courts, not on the streets. It's a quick way to jail or worse, death. You have little regard for human life because you simply disagree with police. They are humans too, and they have been doing this exact thing for decades. In the 80's, people respected police because they were quicker to shoot people. All public servants discharging public duties should be forced to wear a BWC, not just police, any and all. Not only should they be forced to wear BWCs but it should be streamed live to the internet.

Police do not like to use body cams most police are against it. Police do not like full transparency they want to be able to create their own reports based on their own words whether it's truth or lies and by the way police do not release bodycam for - cam footage that incriminates them

Did anyone see the intent to kill in these officers 4 example .! One cop jumped infront of a car and started shooting ..
So just asking ga state patrol 🫡 if I put myself in danger by intentionally placing my body infront of a moving state patrol car or any citizen is it legal or would I be justified if I started shooting to defend my life .??(This is considered serving and protecting)
We all would assume I can’t do it and I got a family I pay taxes and I can make mistakes due too poor decisions making skills in a pandemic state .!
how can u take my life and I’m not threatening u in any manner .! For the most part these people running for they life out of fear .!! While being in a state of panic .!
    Smh gov kemp 😅🇺🇸🫡💯🤴🏽

When I made this comment and many more in the past ..
I was a victim of racism.. I was accusing the cops 4 targeting all poor income people with the same level of authority who statistically would be black .. it didn’t matter if they committed a crime or not .. bothering innocent people on a daily .. Just to only find a criminal every week or so ..
      at the same time
not even doing something as a simple investigation on the rich people at a high scale because that’s who they are protecting and serving ..
Even though that is true .. i think violent offenders should be jailed .. and that’s not racist.. it’s just reality .. once u become a violent offender who cause intentional harm or intended to .. (even if u dnt know better) teenagers etc .
The most acceptable answer would be to stop crime in its tracks and attempt to save as many innocent kids and citizens 4rm dangerous acts of violence..
(Non violent offenders) shouldn’t be treated like one that’s all
