I've had this sitting on a bookshelf waifing to play it and I was trying to play it totally backwards till I watched this lol this actually seems like an easy to play game
Thanks for another great tutorial. I couldn’t find an answer in my rule book about whether you can cover part of a set that had an orb to create a new one. I hope in a new edition they update the rules to clarify that :)
I bought this game after watching this video. It finally arrived today and I lost the first game. Haha. But I had a good time playing it and the quality is good. So I am looking to improve with more plays. Now I just rewatched this video to make sure I did everything right. A challenging little solo game. Thanks for the video.
We're going to try this one tonight. It looks tricky. What fascinates me is the freestyle of being able to lay the cards down so many different ways. Ben tends to like solo card games. I'm definitely curiously to see how difficult it is to rescue the creatures. It looks like a fun challenge. For some reason, it kind-of reminds me of a 90's computer game (ah, retro to my childhood). We recently got Gem Rush it kinda looks like it would be like that/like Saboteur.
This looks like a fun little solo game. I am wondering if there are varying levels of difficulty in the rules to make it more challenging. And what was your best score when playing? :)
This is an interesting take on a solo card game. I was wondering though, isn't it possible to have a treasure score of 10? (all 9 treasures and the riches bonus) or even 11? ( all 9 treasures and the riches bonus twice - one in normal play and one against the dragon) Thanks again for another quality explanation Rodney!
That’s a great catch (way to pay attention!) Yes, it is theoretically possible to have a treasure score of 10, as if you collect all 9, the riches bonus will give you one extra. I debated writing 7-10 but worried it might confuse folks or make them think they were missing a treasure card :p That said, if you manage to collect all 9 please shoot me an email at liberty@lightheartgames.com! I’d love to know about it, my personal record is 8 ;) Thanks for watching and for the question!
Dizzula I try to keep an eye on things, in case I can help with a question like this! ;) And yay! I hope you succeed, and I hope you film it too :D I’ve played probably hundreds of games and only managed Wealthy Champion status...oh, 4 or 5 times? It’s tough! Then again I don’t doubt someone out there will be better at it than I am :) Thanks again and I hope you’ll really enjoy the game!
@@lightheartgames1644 I look forward to it! I am a (as of yet unpublished) game designer myself, and it's always refreshing to see a new concept out there. I wish you every success for the future! :)
Looks like a fun game for a solo player. Beats solitaire. Caverns, treasure, crystals, and defeating a dragon, what D&D player wouldn't like it? I may check it out since I will be alone in Oklahoma for a while until my wife joins me! Nice flip at the end. I missed not having it at the beginning. Like Pavlov's dog's I couldn't salivate.... LOL
I read on bgg that treasures need to be completely uncovered to collect them but I can’t find mention of it anywhere else so I’m not sure on how that works. Is that the actual ruling for treasures?
Still managed to get a box flip in there even tho the game comes in a bag. Way to go Rodney 😃😃
I don't like to disappoint :)
This was cheating. He didn't flip the bag. ;)

Glad you liked the video - have fun playing!
We have been wanting to try this one for a while. I really like Solitaire & Teej thought I might like this one. The theme alone sold me.
I adore this game!

A pleasure - glad to hear you enjoyed!

You're a good gift-giver :)
Can’t wait until this KS arrives so I can get it to the table.
Hope you have a great time with it!

It's pretty challenging as is!

@@lightheartgames1644 Wow, I wasn't expecting a reply from the designer! I'll get myself a copy of the game and see if I can manage the elusive 10!

Oh that’s awesome! Well best of luck with your design(s) and thanks so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it :)
I can't wait to get my copy. Been waiting patiently for quite a while, but this video made me a little impatiently waiting haha.
Also I'd love to see you do a How To Play for Iron Helm by Jason Glover (Grey Gnome Games)
I hope you have a great time with it!
At 1:19 .....Patter-ins and Caver-ins...and KERDS, oh my! Sounds like my kinda game! ;)
You're getting the full east coast Canadian trifecta of pronunciation in this video!
Clicked it as soon as I saw this video pop up in my notifications
Thanks for checking it out!

Great playthrough, didn't realize the "must have an orb of each color" rule for the dragon, glad you mentioned it.
Very happy to assist!
Thank you so much. I cant wait to get a copy and start playing. I been.wondering .... I know the game.designer. happy year of the dragon. 😁🐲

Unless something changed, this was checked over by the designer, so I'm as confident as I can be that it is correct.
I’m struggling to find this online anywhere to purchase? Is it available in the UK? I can’t find it even on Amazon
Good question! Might need to check with the publisher on that one.
Watch It Played - May I ask where you got your version from?
@@TheQuietCornerofTH-cam From the publisher so I could make the video.
Where do I buy it?
Chris Bjerremose was a Kickstarter a couple of months ago.
www.zaftygames.com/products/crystallo-pre-order
Not sure if you check these, but FYI Zafty games seems to have screwed over both Liberty (the creator) and her backers and has skipped town.
I did see about that.
How many dollars is it
It depends on where you buy it.
What? No bag flip?
Someone didn't watch to the end!
@@WatchItPlayed Someone did, but she was watching with a cat so may have gotten slightly distracted
@@JackieFox1976 See, cats are just trouble.
@@WatchItPlayed Grateful every day that mine doesn't have an opposable thumb
no bag flip? probably wise
Stick around to the end!
I'm sure it's possible to get tired of dragon games...it just hasn't happened for us yet!
Me either!
