I have never once thought that an iPhone was too thick, only that the screen was too big to be handy. I’m not sure who thinks iPhones need to be more slim.
Apple makes them slimmer as a marketing gimmick because they’re desperate for any little thing they can use to push new models. They also want to keep batteries small because dead batteries are the main reason people upgrade. It’s also why they find fake issues with your phone when you try and replace the battery and make it a policy that you have to fix anything wrong with it or they won’t replace the battery. They also ruin the water seal when replacing the battery to increase the odds you’ll damage the phone and buy a new one.
I think they are doing it as a step towards the foldy phone. They want the fold to be extra slim, so this is just a step in that direction. Work the kinks out this year to get a very good first launch
The best thing about my iphone 13 is that it's all paid off, so when for the next iphone I buy it will need to have a massively improved screen: useful in very low and very high light situations but without being a battery suck. That's all I need. Just waiting on that now. Sort the screen out and I'm buying.
Well… think about it from Apple’s standpoint… if it’s thinner it will be even more prone to cracking and screens breaking… allowing them to sell you even more phones!
i like the mini. wish they had a mini pro. i dont need a large screen but i do take alot of pics and vids. and having a mini that can be lighter on gimbals would make me very happy to upgrade
I HATE that they’re going slim rather than small. Give me something the size of the mini with double the thickness for all I care. People want battery life.
Rich Apple employees live in a bubble, apple never ask the public what they want, they think they know better.. The camera button would've never made it, the 60 Hz display never would have made it on an $800 plus iPhone in 2024, etc etc.. I could go on..... you think they asked the public beforehand, You would think a big company like Apple would have some kind of focus groups for the public running up to new Products
I totally get the love for smaller phones-I miss the days when you could actually reach the top of the screen one-handed. But the reality is that the so-called “mini” iPhones haven’t been strong sellers. According to CIRP (Consumer Intelligence Research Partners), the iPhone 12 mini accounted for only around 6% of iPhone 12 series sales in its first couple of months. Apple basically confirmed the trend by cutting the iPhone 13 mini from its lineup when they launched the 14. It’s not that Apple doesn’t hear requests for smaller phones; it’s just that the market is pretty niche, and it’s tough to justify a full production run when only a fraction of customers end up buying them. So while a thicker, smaller model might sound great in theory (especially if it means massive battery life), the sales figures just don’t back it up enough for Apple to keep investing in that form factor.
@@MjMurphy777 one of the iPhone that was released in the last few years. The size was perfect. Only battery would suck I guess. Coming from a 13 pro max user
Ngl, I don't really see the point of these smart rings. What do they do that my smart watch doesn't? And it's not a space I see apple moving into, either, for that same reason
@ watches are annoying to wear 24/7. Rings can stay on most of the day, track sleep, steps and could be used for mobile payments. I would rather have an apple ring and wear my nice watch than wear an Apple Watch every day.
4:00 I'm looking forward to the day that we get a new Studio Display from Apple. It'd be nice if they released it this year with the A18 chip and the same or equivalent removable power cable as the iMac.
I don’t think that gonna happen mainly because the only display Apple has is the Pro Display XDR and that still hasn’t been updated and it came out in 2019.
I really hope 2025 is the year that Apple goes full-on into Smart Home. The ability to use homepods for rear channel audio would be AMAZING for 3D audio, especially paired with Dolby Atmos
I’d like to see them lean further into the smart home category. A lower priced AVP would help with adoption which in turn could fuel more content development
@ a folding Phone would be more of a gimmick at this point, especially since we are in transition to wearables for information. Apple Watches, Rayband Meta, Apple patent that to keep Samsung working on theirs ( Waste of Time Tech )
@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentralagreed. Why would I want to have to keep unfolding my phone to use it. I interact with my phone so many times a day I can’t imagine an additional step being required to do so. A folding phone just makes a bad phone and a bad tablet all in one.
Yeah the dimwits who would buy one would quickly realize they made a mistake, just like everyone who bought a foldable android phone. There’s a reason they quickly get discontinued or put on massive discounts and there’s a ton of them for sale used at low prices.
yes, people will get excited for anything apple does because apple products are a status symbol and a way for people to feel included and cool. Apple's real product is self esteem.
Bridget, you always brighten my day and lift my spirits! You’re like a smart, beautiful friend I can always count on. I’d love to see Apple introduce something like an iPad Paper. It’s incredible how TCL has managed to create such vibrant NXTPAPER displays at such an affordable price. Thank you for all the amazing reviews you do - I’m a big fan! ❤
My wish list for the Vision Pro: thinner, lighter, better pass-through clarity, wider field of view, improved integration with Apple ecosystem (pencil, Apple intelligence, iPhone should unlock automatically when I look at it from within the AVP), and of course CHEAPER.
Did she say Apple Intelligence is this a practical joke? I got my iPhone 16 Pro when I first came out and I’m still waiting for the Apple Intelligence.
I have high expectations for Apple in 2025, which include an iPhone that works, a Siri that can answer questions, a watch battery that lasts a week on a single charge, and a company that responds to its customer requests. Agreed. If it gets any thinner, they’ll have break gate instead of bend gate like in years past.
These “updates” simply remind me why I can feel good sticking with my iPhone 13.
