Great break down. Thanks for the helpful video
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, thank you!
Thanks for checking it out. What should I review next?
Hi Adam, I don't really understand when you say: ..."60ds you have to use the light stand
adapter if you want to use an umbrella". What adapter and does it come with it?
Hi mate, what about fan noise after hours of use? Thanks
None. Or at least undetectable
3:43 did you say "I wouldn't choose" or "I want to choose"?
Wouldn’t choose. Get the 100 over the 60 not because of brightness but because of the better mount.
@@adamtalkstech Thank you. Before watching this video, I watched a lot of reviews for these lights from bigger channels and yours helped me finalize my decision the most. Keep it up.
Awesome! Glad to hear that me buying all 3 of them is helping some people :D @@WhatsUpEnglishVN
your lens is warping your face slightly, not hating, I like your content, May I suggest to you flipping your video position in your editing software horizontal.
Yeah still working some on best positioning relative to lens/camera height
at what percentage do you use 60ds? and 100ds?
All depends how close I have it and the aperture of my camera. Typically the 60DS when farther away I run around 80%, 100DS around 60
This was super thorough and easy to follow!! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Her brother; with the amaran 100Ds can it run off being plugged in the wall? Do i have to have a battery for it or can i plug it in the wall? Thankyou
excellent review adam, nice work!
Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for the review, just a couple of questions:
1. Which modifier did you use for this video? Light dome mini III or the lantern?
2. What about fan noise? Some people complain about the fan noise of the 200, have you noticed any issues with the fan noise on the 100/200?
Thanks!
1. I think it was the Glow EZ Lantern: amzn.to/48rbp2Y
2. No fan noise on the S Series. They don't advertise it as fixing fan noise but the fan issues were on the Previous 200D / 200 X Series.
Great review. You have explained everything in detail.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching
Thanks my friend, great video!
Thanks for the support! What should I review next?
Hey man how are you? I need to film a personal trainer in a gym at night. Do you think I’m gonna be alright with the 60 d? I like the battery and portability. Thanks.
I would get more power because you will probably have it farther away and be shooting in higher frame rates too
Thank Adam for this DETAILED & Helpful video. The section that helps me the most is where you talk about the power station for Amaran 100D S & 200 D S
I still need to get one at some point. Seems really useful.
@@adamtalkstech Yes, I know some people are turned off by having to use the power station. They prefer other brands which use V mount batteries attached directly to the lights.
Nailed it-super helpful. 🤙🏽 Thanks, man!
Would you recommend Bi-color version or Daylight with gels?
Bi color would be way more convenient if you really need to change temp.
@@adamtalkstech thank you. Any recommendation on my first light for documentry filmmaking journey? I only currently own zhiyun m40, 40w light
Definitely a 100 or 200x s since you will be working in a lot of variable lighting environments
@@adamtalkstech thanks so much.
Terrific video dude! Thanks 🙏. Got a 200x s (200d basically) after watching.
Great choice. Versatile and bright.
Great, concise, presentation A2V! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!!
@@adamtalkstech tip: You might want to add your real name to your about page - I for one would much rather call you by your first name than A2V. 🙂
Noted! I've been wanting to rebrand for a while, I started this as a faceless channel before I got up the courage to be on camera and now I'm trying to figure out how to personalize things more without compromising privacy.@@randahlfink
How does the fan noise compare?
I don’t notice it on any. The s series has upgraded fans over the originals
@@adamtalkstech oh they do?? Thanks i actually really needed to know that because my local store sells both the 60d as well as 60d s (with the newer 60d s being about $30nzd more expensive) and i was wondering which to get. But if the newer 60d s has a quieter fan, then I'm very keen on getting that
Check out my dedicated review of the 60D s and I go into more specific details but yes I talked with Aputure and the S also is just for better light chipset. @@crayonjambe7515
Is the
200 a lot louder
I don't notice any difference in fan noise. I also don't notice the fans on any of these.
