The Kashmir Great Lakes trek is a crown jewel of Himalayan treks, famed for its stunning beauty and serene alpine lakes. Nestled over 13,000 feet high, the trail winds through meadows bursting with wildflowers, past rugged mountain peaks, and alongside a chain of six pristine lakes.

Did you carry a big tripod? what other camera gear were you carrying?
Yes i carried 2 tripods, Sony 18-135mm lens, sony 11mm lens, GoPro Hero 11, DJI osmo action and 5 power banks along with my other trekking gears

What is the process for permission and health insurance
Permits can be done by the authorised trek organisers or the locals so not sure, for health insurance you need the adventure sports health insurance like for example: asc360.com/

Sure, I used my DJI osmo action camera for that, it has an amazing low light sensor for an action camera( much better than go pro), I will try to switch to my mirrorless from future

KGL is open for i guess 3 months, to be honest it was really crowded in August as thats the peak time, but the weather will be best during August only.
I must say the entire trek has been nicely captured. I got a real idea about the trek as I am going for KGL this August.

If you get hold of some local guide then you can arrange it..but without a guide you won't be allowed

That depends, on average it's around 16k -17k Srinagar to Srinagar. It can be less if you go with local guides
