- I went to Download Festival for the day! I've always only ever been for the full 5 days, so it was interesting to experience it differently.

I went to Download for the first time - weekend tickets & stayed in Nottingham (I’m from Dundee so a looong 7.5 hour drive there and back!) I’m 19 weeks pregnant (not that it was planned to be sober at it!!) but it was excellent being able to drive, dump the car and drive back to Nottingham. Weekend was amazing, husband and I had the best time, weather was fantastic, food stalls were great (I was looking forward to the food after you mentioned in your last vlog Helen!). Loved every minute of it, even being sober! Hopefully will be back next year, I fancy doing a campervan as long as we can get a babysitter 🤰🏼🤣
We went the Friday for a day and took our 2 year old for the first time and she absolutely loved it. The weather made up for it too. But I’m from Hull and it was a 2 hour journey there and then back which I was shattered. Then me and my partner went on the Sunday without our toddler, again I drove there and back and as much as I was knackered I did enjoy just going for a day (I do prefer camping) but just a cheeky trip there, rock out to your fave bands and head back home it was alright. But loved the 360 screens, loved how it was set out, they tried to reduce traffic when leaving from south car park. And most of all there was so many little mini moshers this year and my little toddler loved it and making friends! 🤘🏼 I’m like you, I love download and it’s the only festival I go to and have ever gone to as everyone is like family. 🖤 I did look out for you on the Sunday but christ I’ve never seen it so packed before! 🤘🏼😂🖤
This was our 2nd Download and it was AMAZING!!! Very hot at times which became a little unbearable (especially at camp) but overall it was an amazing experience and I’ll 100% be going again
I first started watching you when I went to download for the first time as a 16 year old (I'm 26 now), your download videos every year give me liiiiife! Love the old school outfit and pack for download vids, so nostalgic 🥲
Lovely to meet you when you first arrived - glad you had an amazing day!! The big screen towers were Metallica’s and they allowed Download to use them for the whole of the weekend, but I really hope they get some for next year! 👌
I agree!! I was so much happier to sit at the back knowing I’d still be able to see the stage somehow, really hope Download can invest in some of their own towers like that
I did my first ever Download this year after watching your vlogs for years!! We had an absolutely UNREAL time. I’ve still got the post download blues 😭 roll on next year 🤘

Ay i did the sunday at download as well! Ghost were insane and slipknot obvs were banging. Absolute madness wasnt it! 🤘🤘🤘
It was such a blast. This was our 8th Download in a row. I actually found your channel back when i was attending my first one back in 2014 n followed you ever since. Ghost was awesome but sooo busy lol 🥰😎🤘
Ahhh I did Friday only and it was amazing...but this gave me FOMO for the full weekend too! It's such a lush experience!
Those 360 screen towers were there for Metallica, but hopefully Download will get those for next year! It was my first DL and I really enjoyed it ♥

I've never been but I really wanted to go this year because the line up was amazing. Sadly I had no one to go with and I didn't feel brave enough to go alone. I need friends with better taste in music 😂

I saw someone wearing a DL20 t-shirt at work today and was super jealous, wish I could have been there.
Ended up running into you at the Ghost set. You looked like you were seriously enjoying yourself, I was one of the ones who let you know about your chest being exposed but you were having so much fun you didnt care at all, hopefully you weren't too banged up from the amount of trips you had during that set. 😂😂
I also did Sunday only this year, the shuttle bus in the way back was wild queues! Great day, don’t know how people camped all weekend in that heat tbh!

I've done both Camping and Airbnb. Downside to an Airbnb you don't get to go to the village/cruicible/District X (whatever it's going by nowadays) so every night going back we had FOMO. But then going back and getting an awesome night's sleep and a proper shower was amazing for an oldie like me 😂
Fuck yeah Amity!!!!! God I wish I was there for BMTH, they headlined for Good Things Festival last year in Aus but fuuuuckkkk they can put on a show!

I went for the first time this year and discovered camping is not for me I don’t think I’d ever do the 5 days camping again but would deffo do RIP if I could afford it or just go for the day!
