@@bobsthea I lived closed to a refinery in a dense residential area in Abu Dhabi for 9 yrs though the air quality was very good . Basically I am from chennai living near a large complex of a refinery industry. The polution in chennai because of the ignorance by the refineries is intolerable. Recently during Michaung cyclone CPCL(Chennai Petrolium Corporation Limited) spilled it's crude oil in storm waters polluted residences, river, streams, ponds and the sea. Compared to that, the Pollution in UAE is 10000 times better and they're managing the pollutants stringently. If any company is non-compliant then they will be punished heavily.

@@Surya-bz2mw without Fossil fuel you cannot live or move your ass out. Fossil fuel emissions create climate change is a narrative of sinister global elites agenda against the world population to deprive them the energy they depend. If you replace all vehicles with electrical instead of Fossil fuels then will you use electricity to produce electricity to charge them? 🤣🤣. Then the earth would be more polluted when they start mining the earth for battery materials and energy storage devices. Power output in EVs would not be great compared to Combustion vehicles. Improve the efficiency and reduce the emission from Fossil fuel vehicle rather than replacing them with EVs. It would be the wise choise.

It looks like the materially luxurious life style in the UAE comes at a high cost for its population. Human wellbeing clearly late behind material wellbeing. Curiously, I have been thinking of moving there for working at some point in time.
Talking of gas flares pollution, I am from Kirkuk city, one big oil producing city, and has my house located just a mile or so from the filed where the "eternal fire" of Baba Gurgoor, the main cluster of the oil wells, has been burning for centuries.

Wealthy Arab citizens spend almost all of their time in buildings or in cars where heavy duty air filters catch most of the pollution.
It only affects the working poor who are outside making their deliveries, producing their oil, loading and unloading their private jets or building their opulent skyscrapers. These are sick nations.
