As a graphic designer I understand there are 2 types of spacing, one is visual and one is mechanical. This is due to the letters does not have the same space around them, so if you use mechanical spacing you will notice some letters that look more separated than others, for rexampla rounded letters in opposition to straight letters like "O, S" placed beside a capital "M". The best result will be visual and not mechanical spacing horizontally.
