I reckon I saw that same rake of wagons ex Murtoa to Portland a few days ago, those diesels will be working hard coming up the Belaiba bank on the way back, good one Graeme
Some classic NSW motive power there Graeme, they seemed a little shy entering the yard and to instigate the "Dunolly Crawl". Mark-1 49 class with high valance leading latter version with no valance. Will be a decent haul for those three when the 38 wagons are filled up with grain.
Something i never thought i would see at Dunolly mate 49`s leading a grain train. Unsure what the pause on Burnt Creek bridge was about. Apparently they only loaded 30 for the return trip after jettisoning CLP9 at Westmere on the down.
No dynamic brake with 49 class leading would have been trying to get as much of the train over the hill as possible before releasing the brakes. A running release with half the train hanging over the hill would put the driver through the windscreen or snap the train or both 😂
Nice catch Graeme. Still no signs of signal/turnout upgrades there yet? Hopefully Tourello loop comes online soon! PN BG have been flat out along there for weeks on end now.
Thanks Callum something I never thought you would see at Dunolly. Nothing at all has happened or looks like happening at Dunolly anytime soon. Korong Vale should be commissioned in the next fortnight if not sooner. Tourello has a fair bit of work left no signal masts erected sections of IRJ track either end not laid and points in but the diverge part of the blades not in.
Beautiful creation

Thanks Peter , i`m wondering if they`ll have enough horse`s for the return run now since the CLP got put off at Westmere.
They didn't go to Portland.
that's a new loco combination for Dunolly, nice catch GLB!!!!!!
Something i never thought would be thru Dunolly 49`s leading a grain.

Oh dear .... close enough to a T nonetheless 😊
Closest I think we will see to a T class on a grain . Never thought I would see 49,s leading a grain through there though.
Nice work!
That PN grain wagon still there? Taking their sweet time to sort it out, just like X50 at maroona.
Be short odds that VHAF will still be there at xmas , X50 is back out earning the company some dollars now.
@@graemewhite8463 I saw X50 stabled at Gheringhap about 5 weeks ago.
@@ThePaulv12 Sat there for a while then up to the wheel lathe at Spotswood for the second time out and about again now .
