    It seems in the last month or so Every store has Buffalo Trace 750ml in mass Quantities here in mid michigan, Walmart even had it for $12 at Christmas. Prices here for Allocated juice is INSANE 🫣😖🤬 Cheers 🥃 💯

    I’ve been seeing some prices on allocated bourbons just stay at the secondary price from two years ago. For example, Elmer T Lee in some stores is still $300 while secondary is dropped down to 160 in my area. They’re not adjusting their pricing. Some stores are really determined to get as much profit from those bottles.

    Patrick or anyone, How is WT Rare Breed NFC 1L supposed to be big if it's only available in some duty free shops?
    I must have missed something in the vid.
    Looked into duty free whiskey while flying domestically & here is what I found;
    Rare Breed NCF is not at Denver airport.
    To buy anything at duty free you must be leaving the country & they verify this by your passport and boarding pass.
    There are limits to how much you can buy.
    When you buy something at duty free, you still can't take possession of it there. they bring it to your gate and give it to you right before you board the plane.

    In Michigan, a few Duty Frees going to and from Canada have the WT RB Non-chill filtered. I picked up two of them for around $42 each. They are well worth the price. I can't go back to regular rare breed.

      Thanks for letting us know. Hopefully they'll be a little easier to find.

    Love this type of content!
    Only prediction that I will make is:
    I believe we are going to see the mid tier bottles ( numerous brands ) come down in price because consumers won't pay $70-$120 for them. Consumers are going to save their $$$ to get the high end bottles like JD14 and RR15 and there is so much buyer fatigue that there isn't enough $$$ to go around anymore. Classic middle squeeze is coming......

    Great video! Let's hope only some of your predictions come true 🤣

    Loving the predictions. I agree with Jack Daniel's. They are showing the top dog distilleries they can put out an amazing product and be pretty shelf stable. The special releases are still not the easiest, but a heck of a lot easier than any BT that's semi rare! Great vid!

      The special releases aren't the easiest to get your hands on, I hear you! But the bp Rye and Tennessee bp are legit fantastic.

    Also, what I think is gonna happen is the liquor stores that opened after the pandemic chasing money are going to close down in 2025.

    I think rare breed non filtered will make a showing like you said. Seems more underground right now, but I could see it reaching the spotlight more.
    I think buffalo traces expansion may start to kick in, but the distillery may just be releasing back stock. Stores are still gonna price gouge for as long as they can :/ but those bottles aren’t gonna move off the shelf because buyer fatigue! Nobody wants a $80 eagle rare anymore.
    I don’t think harder to find heavily allocated stuff will have a price hike honestly. I think they’re seeing that the shit just ain’t moving. Pappy 15 won’t sell for $2000 anymore and I think they’re figuring that out
    Never had still Austin actually. Which should I try first you think?
    Woodford baccarat never sells, I have a wild Turkey triumph riding a total wine shelf near me, so yeah I agree. Some of the real heavy hitters won’t sell anymore. Now look, if/when I start making good money, I may try to pick up something like a double eagle at MSRP if I can find one. But Im not a typical buyer, so take that into consideration. I’ll edit and say I think that high priced whiskey that isn’t worth the price tag will ride shelves.
    Jack Daniel’s has a leaked photo of the 14 year already out. They’re gonna keep putting out awesome stuff. I wish other distilleries could be like them..
    I think Remus is struggling. Some of their allocated stuff at MSRP is shelf riding near me. I know old Carter got bought, and I think one other brand was having to cut back. All that generic sourced MGP stuff will take a hit imo
    Sorry for the absence, class started back. Cheers Patrick, good video!

    Waterford Distillery in Ireland has gone into receivership, so it's not a stretch to see some contraction in the market.

    • @TheWhiskeyCove
      @TheWhiskeyCove  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's unfortunate. With the way things are going it was bound to happen sadly.

    Just went to my local Total Wine. Literally they had a box of Eagle Rare, plus Eagle Rare store picks, and even a box of Buffalo Trace, plus another box of 1.75L, a box of WL Weller Special Reserve, and another box with 1.75L (that's what I got, as it was limited to 1 Buffalo Trace product per customer).
    Total Wine never has anything in stock or in store from Buffalo Trace. Ever. Like, I'm already seeing the change.

    • @JayMannStuff
      @JayMannStuff 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Also, it wasn't priced above MSRP. The 1.75L WL Weller Special Reserve was about $50. I think stores are realizing folks are getting bad impressions from stores that don't have allocated stuff at MSRP. I know I did. It's why I switched most my purchases to Spec's.

    • @TheWhiskeyCove
      @TheWhiskeyCove  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Those eagle rare picks are worth grabbing. I love the single barrels. Total wine love to come into community with low prices and when they out the other stores out of business they jack up their rates.

    • @JayMannStuff
      @JayMannStuff 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @TheWhiskeyCove they ain't gonna run a Spec's out of business. Plus, too much competition in the metroplex. As for the store pick, I avoided it. Store picks are hit and miss. Rather not be burned. It's why I never do anything single barrel. I'm more of a stickler for consistency.
      Total Wine normally is terrible. Nothing good in store, almost always. Not this time. I think they realize that getting customers to feel good means they'll return more often. I think they want to establish behavioral habits to help them survive the consumer drought that's coming.

    Yellowstone is in trouble if you ask me, too many young releases, might have tanked their reputation

    Everyone and their brother is looking 👀 for the JD 14. And if at msrp it’ll be a top contender for WOTY. I won’t see it I’ve never seen a 10 or 12 so not worried about getting one. I’ll stick to the SBBP that sit on shelves here. 🥃🥃🥃

    I would like to hope that allocated prices come down. Please don't spoil my dreams Patrick. Lol. I only want one stagg is that to much to ask to find a fair price.

    100 bucks (nearly double) for non chill filter.. Wtf.. That's not right. Crazy markup but about right for what WT does.
