The clarity of your tutorials makes them easy to assimilate and is way better than some other Adobe product tutorials out there. Also the attention to detail such as keyboard shortcuts which improves overall productivity.
Thank you Michael. That is one of my missions, is to teach the way I wish I was taught growing up. So everyone, regardless of skillset, can understand. Thanks again for the kind words and take care!
Really appreciate your teaching skills. You’re very informative and easy to follow. Just getting into inDesign and am devouring your content. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Great tutorial! Been using ID for years now and never really had the time to dive into it like this. Now that I'm doing more interactive publications this helps a ton. thanks for taking the time to set it up and go step by step.
Your options with this is to publish it online and share the link for your audience to view. You can also export it as an EPub (Fixed Layout) and view it in an e-reader such as Apple Books (Mac) or Calibre (Windows).
Hi Angelo, thank you so much for all your very useful help. I have a question depending to the video-files: I have Video with the codec Quicktime-film, linear pcm, timecode, h.264. My problem is, that I don't see any Toolbar-Elements with play/pause/Stopp-function. Do you know whats the reason for this? If I test the file in acrobat pro the Video plays, but I am not able to control it. If I jump to the next side, it plays and plays. I cant stop it. Thank you very much in advance. Regards! Michael
Hi Michael! Thanks for the Q. Your issue isn't with the video file itself. It's the fact that Acrobat doesn't have playback controls for video anymore, since Adobe phased out Flash support years ago. While videos will still play in Acrobat Reader, you won't see playback controls and there's no way to pause, play or stop. My suggestion is to test out the work in a web browser using the Publish Online feature in InDesign.
Hi Sonia! You can't create a page-turn effect in InDesign. It used to be an option as a page transition for PDF, but that's not supported anymore. You could always use an HTML flipbook site such as Flipsnack or Issuu. You could also consider using In5 - an InDesign extension that has a flipbook option built into the platform. This is a subscription-based option.
@@AngeloMontilla Thank you for your response. I designed a magazine that have animation in it, but I think these sites do not support animation. I also installed and tested in5 for free, but that gave a low quality file and unfortunately my client insists on turning pages by flipping. Is there another free or reasonable solution for that? Thank you in advance for your help.🙏🌻
@@soniaa6941 Nothing free that flips, because like you already mentioned, those flipbook sites don't carry the animation from InDesign. They do have their own interface that you can add animation and interactivity, but again that's not free. I'd say your best bet is export as EPub. I know Apple Books has a page flip effect when viewed on ipad, but not for desktop. Best of luck!
Thank you, you are wonderful and beautiful, I have a problem downloading in5, the paid version, because I am in the city of Aden, which has been facing war for years, and I cannot buy in5 from here. I contacted the maker of the program and he hasn't answered for months 😔.

And is it online possible to be watched by people who have the link to this pdf-file?
@@AngeloMontilla
Hi Angelo, i tried it and the playbackcontrol is working, but now, I dont hear the audio of the video. This is really crazy.@@AngeloMontilla
It is a great tutorial! Just one question! How did you create page flip mode?

Love this tutorial! But the background music is little distracting.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep that in mind.

Watching your tutorials gives me an excuse for animating all kinds of pictures I have. There is an actual group called The Smiths.
You have set up too many little things you need to do more step by steps!
