    New to ePub, I was able to create the nav panel. Because our co. prefers to use Table of Contents method on a master rather than using nav buttons, I cannot animate or create effects on each nav item separately. Instead I've placed a color dot next to each "Active" nav item on its corresponding page which fades in on page load on top of the active nav panel perfectly, but only for the first 2 pages. The dot on remaining pages are buried below the panel and cannot be seen. I had duplicated all nav dots from the first one, placed them "in front" on their pages, renamed the effect. What am I missing?

    • @AngeloMontilla
      @AngeloMontilla  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Lee! Thanks for the comment. You can publish it as an EPub (Fixed Layout) which would require it be viewed in an e-reader app such as Apple Books. The other option is exporting as HTML, but that isn't as easy as you think. It will package the HTML, js and images, then needs to be cleaned up in Dreamweaver or equivalent. My hope is that the digital publishing workspace in InDesign gives users more options for exporting and I think that may be coming in the future. In the interim, you may want to check out in5 - an extension that gives you more options to publish from InDesign to web. It comes at an annual cost, though. Take care.

    Is the scrolling frame works with PDF also?

    • @AngeloMontilla
      @AngeloMontilla  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kumar! Unfortunately, no. The scrolling frame is a HTML5 interactivity feature - meaning it'll only work for EPub or Publish Online.

    How can i save this magazin html file?

    • @AngeloMontilla
      @AngeloMontilla  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! File > Export > HTML will export the assets and css. This won't retain the layout and interactivity, as you'll find out. To host on your own site this way, you'll need assistance from a dev - unless of course you are good with coding yourself. Just as an FYI, the In5 full license allows you to export for HTML5 without coding. Best of luck.
