Thanks for the thorough presentation of that very nice new tote. I love it. My question: do they consider this a man-bag? Because I certainly don't. And I am so glad I spontaneously bought the large hobo when I did, because that is not on their website anymore. I hope this tote will not disappear again when they realize that women will buy it. I think it's pretty gender neutral, but it depends on the person. From my understanding, it sounds like this will be the one bag that will live on SBL sites forever. The 100-year warranty applies. Love41 warranty, 41 years, allows them to use zippers which SBL won't. One wild idea is, what if they didn't have such an intense warranty, what designs would come up? I was reminiscing about all the discontinued bags that I love, so many good ones gone forever... :( It's good to be back :)

Love the shirt with your hair. This is a really beautiful bag and I love the grab handles which are similar to my Love 41 bucket. When you do the long review can you compare it a bit to the Whipping Post Vintage Tote? This has a few features I think I’d love.

Great video. What color is the simple tote? The chestnut looks like a pretty uniform color. Is there any pull up? Will there be pull up if you crease/fold it?
The simple tote is tobacco. Yes the Chestnut had some pull up when creased but it fades away and comes back, giving a marbling effect. It is one of their more uniformed colored bags. Tobacco and dark coffee brown are their most dynamic ones.
Do the straps of the saddleback tote stay in your shoulder? One of the things I love about the simple tote is the unlined straps stay put so well. I was all excited about a large tote with pockets but I’m not sure about the straps falling off my shoulder.
I'm not sure how tall you are... sometimes that makes a difference with how my space you have on your shoulder. I just got the bag, so I can't say from experience yet how the tote stays or not. But it does feel comfortable. With my height (5'5") I think i'm pretty average. Both sides of the leather are finished. Unfinished does grip better. I'll update you in a couple of days, okay?

Both are beautiful bags, but as always tobacco leather just looks dirty and chestnut looks polished and classy.
