- So I had this thought: what if we illustrated Zodiac signs with people who are the quintessential of that sign? If we experienced the world through their lens, what could we learn? 🤔
As we all embark on this Aquarian age, I think it’s so important to understand the energies that come with it, and what better way to do that than through the perspective of an Aquarius poster child?
You see, there are people in my life, or people I meet, that are textbook embodiments of zodiac or planetary archetypes. They are literally poster children for their zodiac sign! Whenever I think of Aquarius, I think of my brother, Patrick.
And. No, he is not an astrologer, just an extraordinary human being who has his Sun, Rising, Mercury, Venus and Pallas in Aquarius. He also has 9 total planets in air signs, further amplifying his Aquarian essence.
To me, the Aquarian perspective is the purest transmission of the light and love of the stars being poured over humanity, hence the water bearer glyph…and Patrick brings a lot of that to this conversation!

Patrick described a very important aspect to the Aquarian personality, just because we're detached (often see the whole picture), doesn't mean we don't care. In fact we care too much. It's a huge misconception, just because we don't constantly emote ever changing emotions, doesn't mean we don't care.😊
That's what my Moon in Aquarius (8th house) keeps telling me. But I can 'see' he doesn't 'feel'. He was raised not to feel, as were his other 6 siblings.
Air = communication, culture and society. This is his domain. Love is the glue of society and of teams, and fuels our desire for communication and connection.

So relatable when speaking of feelings of claustrophobia when an aquarius is being monotonously asked to do something. It feels like you sufficate and your freedom is being compromissed. We need more Patrick’s in the world. I have Aquarius ♒️ in my 10th house of career & Venus & my North Node. I work with kiddos too and I also need freedom in my job that is how I thrive & I finally have that now and I’m helping children & community. This is so important to me. Absolutely great way to start my day, watching this. I love his Aquarian energy and can relate to so much. All of this. What an an absolute embodiment and yes he totally blends with the next door neighbor, Pisces. This take on the collective, love, unity and also his humility in sharing past struggle with alcohol. I think as aquarians we know how we shine, and we also know and value those challenges from which we’ve grown. We tend to be comfortable treading through that dark and then blasting a light on it so that others don’t feel alone. It’s this inability to keep something to ourselves we know can be a part of something bigger. I think aquarians are just in love with people and seeing all the different ways in which they shine, and ultimately are so motivated to be a part of the service to that. Patrick you are amazing. This was such a beautiful and brilliant way to learn astrology and get to understand the zodiac sign. As I was listening to Patrick speak, I was thinking of my own chart placements and seeing how does it correlate to what people say about me. I think I have learned more about Aquarius energy in the last 44 minutes than in many years of studying astrology…. brilliant idea, Amanda, to interview an archetypal poster child! One of the things that I really became aware of was that Patrick seemed to be in such harmonious balance with the opposite sign Leo (Love, children, creative expression) showing us what Aquarius can look like and how it can show up in the world in its highest expression. I’m Aquarian sun, Asc., Venus, mercury and Chiron. Today is my birthday and I so enjoyed this. I’m 66 years old and everything resonated. While I come from great parents we were to be compliant. I was the “rabble rouser” of the six girls in my family. I always felt different-deeper, and bring unique creativity to everything I do. If forced to do repetitive things it did feel so confining and I always somehow brought a flair. Shawshank was one of my favorite films. I did as people 20 years ago how they initially experienced me and got feed back that I initially seem aloof and snobby, but once people get to know me they see how sweet and friendly I am and that I was just initially shy. I need to feel comfortable before inserting myself in groups often (saturn in 11th maybe…). I have Uranus conjunct 7th house so while my interior life (depth psychologist, handwriting analyst, personality psychologist, college teacher, author-8th hiuse scorpio moon , NN in scorpio also)my love relationships have been difficult (divorced but 4 great kids and 11 grandkids). I’ve always wanted to hear from other people “like me”. Great episode.

From what Patrick was saying, Aquarius reminds me of a "great Gatsby" energy. Throwing amazing parties but never showing up to the actual party. Somehow, Aquarius is still behind the scenes, making sure everyone has a good time. Aquarius is looking at situations from a birds-eye view instead of being in the center of situations.
Patrick is an inspiring example of someone who is living the higher octave of his chart, not only his Aquarius nature, but the fact that his Sun is in the 12th house! Brilliant idea Amanda! You are both amazing!

I loved this episode. I have so much Aquarius in my chart, 7th house Aquarius with Jupiter + Mars in my 7th. Opposite my Rising Leo. I own a yoga studio, connect communities both physically and virtually and have the exact same feelings about stepping aside and watching friendships and communities bloom, but removing myself from it. This is beautiful. The second word Patrick used to describe himself was "competitor". I thought, really? Aquarius? But he tied it together with caring for others. It is a concept I struggle with - I have Sun conjunct Mars in Pisces, opposed by Saturn. Thank you Patrick. I am Aqua Sun in third house placement - (Gemini) with also mercury there and Venus. I am a big communicator and passion for freedom through expression and my work.
Also pretty good at cutting to the chase and languaging things that are helpful and uplighting. My work is in coaching people to live a liberated life. Uranus and Pluto in 10th House Virgo! Definitely cannot and have not worked in corporate structures or anything that has a sense of clocking in and clocking out. With that said, I ALWAYS challenge things that are thrown my way as 'obvious' - I don't care where it comes from, I need to know WHY it is happening regardless of the reason why people are telling me. For example I really struggled during 2020 - I just couldn't understand why I was losing my job, income, and connection to people in CA while others across other borders were not. It was a weird time...some would say I was a conspiracy theorist at the time - I thought I was just using Common Sense.
Your brother is amazing! What a great interview and example of Aquarian energy. I also felt his Sun and Venus in the 1st house energy with his pride (Leo-like) in his family and the kids he coaches, and his expression of love and unity (Venus). Also, with all those planets in the 1st, he has a lot of Aries energy = sports, competition, leader, need for active forward movement. When Patrick mentioned that he doesn't like to review the past, it hit me that I have this thing where i never go back to jobs or relationships once I leave. I put my all into those things, and when they end, it is too painful to think about. When I leave, I leave. No looking back. It wasn’t until your brother mentioned it that i realized that might be Aquarian energy (I'm Aquarius rising conjunct NN).

Fox does unite people. CNN does unite people - I'm just saying, for whatever reason Fox and CNN make me mad at the other side and I'm not doing that - especially this year. I don't care what party anybody is in - we are all human, we are all allowed to share ideas, and I will do it only in a peaceful non decisive context. If it gets decisive, then we are splitting and headed to a bad conclusion and I just won't do that anymore. One Love as Bob Marley likes to say.

Aquarius moon detash comes from protection to myself from others . I see my like as a movie. Mom was alcoholic and dad was not my dad...so I walked alone with God. I did not or do not confirm. I live in community 1790 apts and give food to hungry to 1500 people per week through my church. It gives me peace. I do nick name people

@@amandawalsh2998 Hi Amanda, so I have Sun, Venus, Saturn, Mercury & Jupiter in Aquarius (everything else is fixed too), so i really enjoyed meeting your bro, thanks. I also love sports, and feel passionately that LOVE can bind the human family together every time. I can't pretend i sensed his Sag NN, i just noted how he has always authentically embodied the energy of a leader - whereas with my Leo NN I've had to work to get that energy activated. It was lovely to hear you say that your parents were wonderful, what a blessing that is, not least for the kids your bro mentors and coaches, so much love to give away. Not so true in my case. First time i ever saw an astrologer she looked at my chart and said: "Well your dad left when you were five, correct?" And she was. That was when i fell in love with the mystery of the cosmos and astrology in particular. The other thing that made me warm to your brother was his frankness and wisdom about the booze. We were definitely blessed with incredible parents and I'm one of 4 kids... my other 2 brothers are incredibly beautiful human beings as well (a Taurus and a Leo). I have always seen this as a gift we were given, that was given to us so we can SHARE and create Ohana (family) wherever we go... to celebrate the HUMAN family that we are.
