It is greed. And yet seeing all these 'DeSantis bashing' posts blaming the governor for the mess. It is not his fault at all. Got to not only point the finger at the insurance companies but also those in the current administration in D.C. that has gotten our country in a mess never seen in history.
ALL THAT ISA BIG B. S. I have perfect driving record, no accidents or fines, my current insurance (progressive) from around $1170 a year now is over $3500 a year for no reason. Im driving old cars to keep everything low. I check for maximum discount, and they only able to discount less than $200 a year. AGAIN, ALL THAT IS BULL SHIT.
Thanks for letting us know this even though it was posted 7 months ago. I was thinking about calling Progressive for a quote to shop for cheaper auto rates. Not anymore. At this rate I might as well give up looking around and not go through the hassle because sounds like rates are high sooner or later no matter who you switch to.
@@hearditfirst8010 sorry for the slow response, but the safe driver plug in discounts use your driving against you. Did you brake hard for a squirrel jumping into the street? Well that’s negative points. Did you brake a little too hard for a red light? Accelerate to hard to make the yellow? It won’t be long before your safe driver discount becomes a bad driver cost.
The crazy part is that even if your not at fault just because you had a claim your insurance still goes up or they will drop you and the other insurance companies see those past claims so you get a higher deductible even if your not at fault 😡
Some long figured out how to save money driving. No license. No registration. No insurance. Never pay parking tickets. Never pay toll, Never pay moving violation tickets, never show up in court, never pay your ambulance or emergency medical bills, hit and run, stolen or jacked car. Much cheaper letting someone else pay for your costs.
I also thing the amount of people that travel to Florida by Car for Disneyworld in the summer, and the snow birds in the winter, impacts rates. It is bad that people that do not live in Hurricane areas are impacted by all the cars damaged in west Florida last Yr.

@@onespeedliteStarting with Covid lockdowns, materials doubled in price. The Climate policy against fuel multiplied that. Food prices doubled. All causing everything else to increase down the line. What is going on in Florida with insurance rates? Between homeowners and car insurance, sure seems like "something" is driving this.
Greed.
A retarded Republican Legislature and Governor is driving this Insurance nonsense and it is not just Auto Insurance, it is all insurance.
Agree purely greed.

So those MF’ing Hurricanes and the 18 billion dollar vehicle loss had nothing to do with it?
They’re making excuses to raise our insurance, car or home. Ridiculous.

Mickey Mouse is much more important than insurance.

If it's inflation, then how come it's 40% higher in Florida than other states? Think about that.
