We were there at Khalini near Doda in 89,had a exercise camp there.
Never tried to swim,though had to have bath daily,but never tried swimming.
Cold water,and very swift gush of water.
We stayed there for 6 months,then moved to Pattan,Srinagar.

yes, that's true. No questions about its increasing volume, it will get bigger and bigger until it meets indus. My point was different, swimmer said people from himachal come here gets drowned here as they are not aware of chenab's danger. It is risky to swim accross chenab in himachal as well.
