Glastonbury is the biggest music festival in the world, it takes place at the end of June every year over four days. Over one hundred thousand people watched the Coldplay set with Michael J Fox performing in a wheelchair. BBC TV also transmits many of the acts from different tents not just the pyramid stage live on TV. 🇬🇧
That ‘city’ is farmland. Every year it turns into a city of 250k people, with dozens of stages and hundreds of bands and other art activities, and after a week it vanishes and becomes farmland again.
@@neildavies3762 yeah daily or weekend ticket holders the max capasity at glastonbury fest is 550,000 people n its sold out every year so pretty sure the main stage (primid stage) probs most them at that stage lol
Saw them 3 times now, 2017 and yesterday and the day before yesterday. Nothing will ever beat those experiences and those feelings you have during a Coldplay concert 🌞
Hey Suzie and Travis Thank you for showing this video Best ever can not say no more great show love the lights just made my day . Anyways love you both stay safe .💗
Coldplay is amazing. I was so happy that I got a ticket for their concert last Sunday in Munich. Spectacular! Especially with the lights. It didn't matter at all that it was raining :D
10:05 to answer your question about the light up wristbands, they’re controlled by radio frequencies so at every show, they have these towers all around the venue that control the wristbands and although not shown for this song, there are several songs that show off these cool patterns they display with these lights so check out a fan recording of either of these songs: Higher Power, Clocks or Paradise and you’ll see what I mean :)
I got barrier at a festival coldplay played a month before that video! Worth the 12hrs of constant standing but was only a 1hr performance because of what the festival was! Still amazing though!!
This was shown live on BBC1 on the Saturday night at 10pm its their 5 or so appearance actually at Pilton between Glastonbury and Wells in Somerset Glastonbury is deemed to have a mystical history so the festivalis named accordingly Glastonbury it first started in 1970 for charities like Ban The Bomb anti Nucular War charity
hey Guys, been there many times and live local to the event, which is held just outside a small town in the county of Somerset called Glastonbury! The farmland is over 200 acres and is situated in a village called Pilton. Numbers have been culled in recent years due to safety concerns but it still attracts over 150,000 festival goers. farmer Michael Eavis started the event. It's now run by his daughter Emily. There are many stars that hope to be part of the event. Cold Play had Michael J Fox on stage playing guitar for Fix You! It's probably the largest open air musical festival on the planet right now. Love your reactions.
Its a city that grows once a year in the fields of Sommerset for the greatest festival in the world. I am 60 now and have many fantastic times at Glasto. My ultimate was the 40th anniversary in 2010
Glastonbury is amazing! I saw Coldplay at Wembley Stadium, in London with 90,000 other people. They had the same wrist bracelets there too and that blew my mind. But this is next level - 250,000 people potentially. All there for the same reason and unified. Small towns have less people in them than that! Humans can do amazing things and be very powerful as a whole! Insane!
Everyone should do a music festival at least once in their life, camp outside & be at one with the outdoors. My parents regularly took me to Glastonbury as a kid & now as an adult I've been over 7 or 8 times. It's a magical place full of over 250,000 people sharing a special event over 5 days at the end of June
I live 5 miles away from the Glastonbury Festival site, that city as you described it is the rest of the festival site, over 1000 acts play on 26 stages and dozens of tents over 4 days. Tickets sell out within a couple of minutes, I didn't get one this year unfortunately but hope to go next year. Great Reaction!!
Always possible at a festival people will let you pass. If you put in the effort you will always get there but man can it take some time..Or you stay from the previous set & wait it out 😂
The site is huge!! That was the main stage known as The Pyramid Stage. There were many more stages open at the same time, everything you saw was the site of the festival in the background & outsides all lit up like a small city. Camera can't even show all of it!! It is a massive trek getting around the site, you need to be prepared to walk miles everyday & you can't see everything. It's impossible!! Magical place 🥰
Glastonbury is a music festival in the South of England. Its the biggest music festival in the uk. Those lights you thought was a city was actually the rest of the festival. Its built on fields for that specific weekend then taken down again.
You talked about 'the rest of city compared to what is going on there" but what you see beyond the lighted audience is NOT a city but that is the rest of the festival grounds and what you see is not ever half of it. Glastonbury is famous for not only having the main stage but literally dozens of stages going from big to small all scattered around the festival grounds. I know people who go there every year and they never go to any of the gigs at the main Pyramid stage but stick to the smaller 'underground' stages.
they take there own flags, another thing, is they get dry years, and so wet years, lots of mud, the mud on clothes was a badge of honour to be honest, i was a dry cleaner, for thw weathly people, the clothes that we had to clean, from a muddy year was unreal, but it is a badge of honour at glastonbury
Europe is different to America, there are 50 different countries and most sing to the same tune , I'm from Wales and would shake hands with all , you to America ❤
You talked about "the town" where its happening. There really isn't a town there. Everything you can see, all the lights and structures in the background are only there for the festival. Four days of music and events on multiple stages across a very big space.
That's a festival. You don't pay to see one artist, you pay for the experience of being there. If you can't see you just have to move but at a place like Glastonbury it doesn't matter your view can be blocked by many flags or spontaneous people being lifted on to shoulders but that's the vibe
Wonderful. There's another moment you might like to react to at this concert. Same group 'Coldplay - Fix you (Glastonbury 2024) feat. Michael J Fox. Glastonbury is in the South West of England. It's always spectacular!!!!!
It's not a city it's Glastonbury musical festival all you can see is other places where stages other music is played all types of different music events camping places and food stands Glastonbury is enormous
I miss the days where you could just bribe your way into Glastonbury with a gram of speed or pay £5 to go through a hole in the fence someone made. Those were the days. Glasto is an incredible experience that should be on everyone's bucket list.
That is not the city that is the rest of the Glastonbury festival the biggest music and contemporary arts festival in the world the festival site has a boundary fence of 8 kilometres and dozens of different stages

try 550.000 people thats how many tickets (per day/weekend tickets) sold in 2024
@@chris747f??? Per day?

the pyramid holds 120k on its own we were there brilliant
🎉 wankers
The big moment was on Fix You with Michael J. Fox... Stunning this concert
Unique Band
Feel emotional watching this. Imagine being part of that! Coldplay you're amazing.
Welcome to my country 🏴 every now and then we do things properly. That crowd was insane over 100,000 people! 😁
Glastonbury is one of the biggest festivals in the world! They are so lucky in the UK for having it! Loved your reaction, much love from Portugal!
So lucky that farmer opens this fields up every year.......
Coldplay is phenomenal in concert!!! They are so talented
WOW,WOW,WOW, THAT IS PURE ENTERTIANMENT, IMAGINE BEING THERE , HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Coldplay are one of the best bands/ entertainers to grace the planet. This is standard for a Coldplay gig
The magic of Glastonbury festival and we were all given bracelets that light up with wi fi...I was there and it was magical
I LOVED your reactions! Mission accomplished Coldplay, well done.
They did that bit too back in Jakarta
I was in the crowd, and mann.... that was MAGICAL

Great reaction! I hadn't seen this before! Thank you! We definitely need more Coldplay in the world!
Thanks for reacting to this, Coldplay is amazing and so are you guys ❤
I go to Glastonbury every year. Its my favourite place in the world. Being in that crowd was amazing ❤
I loooooove Coldplay ❤ 🇦🇺
PURE LOVE
Best band to see live for sure!
Best live ever!

The patterns are done with Infra Red, you couldn't achieve a directional pattern with just RF.

Me too. 2012...2016...2024... Can't wait for the next one...
@@jyrkipaavola. pray me i can see coldplay concert one day :)
meanwhile ive never been and can never seem to be lucky enough to get tickets before they're all gone :(
They've gone from rubbish to well rubbish 😂

This tune was the first wedding dance of my daughter and her new husband dancing in the middle of a big teepee in wedding dress on his shoulders 🤣

Best show on earth 😊
I was in the stadium in Amsterdam. Whit this song 73.000 people were jumping and dancing around.
Impossible not to move!!😃
Avicii with chris Martin (Coldplay), was one of the best music combo ever.
R.i.P Avicii
wow!
Chris turned into the best front man ever. So respected these days. Coldplay are phenomenal live
i was there and somehow made it to the front. you can see me at 2:18 in the original video
Always possible at a festival people will let you pass. If you put in the effort you will always get there but man can it take some time..Or you stay from the previous set & wait it out 😂

Go to Glastonbury for the concert you’ll love it!! Worth going to the U.K. for.
There is no city near there its in the middle of the countryside, the other lights are the rest of the festival site..
You can’t help but admire Chris Martin for his personality, vision, song writing skills and ability to put on a show
Coldplay have the best concert on the planet it's just simply fact
Glastonbury is a music festival in the South of England. Its the biggest music festival in the uk. Those lights you thought was a city was actually the rest of the festival. Its built on fields for that specific weekend then taken down again.
It's the West country ...
The wristbands use a form of mesh network which means they can also target them by position for syncing colours and patterns
did mention this within someone else comment glasto is 550k total weekend.. day/weekend tickets n its farmland, probably 250k at main stage here lol
You'd love Glastonbury in a tent in a field it's the best in the world.
You ought to look at Glastonbury it's near Stonhenge ....Nd it's very magical spiritual place...
En Argentina, hizo 10 conciertos, en cada uno habia 70 mil personas 🇦🇷💙🇦🇷💪💪
Coldplay at the sphere in Vegas would be epic

You should look at Fix You, at the same concert @glastonburry
2025 Glasto... 210,000 tickets gone in 30 minutes. And I didn't get one. Still, can't complain- I've been before and it's magic. I can't describe it.
All of this is a farmers field including all the lights you see in the background 😊
Fix you with Michael J Fox as others have mentioned was awesome
That isn't a city that is all the tents in a farmer Field in the countryside area called Glastonbury.
That's why it's $400 for a ticket to see them!
they take there own flags, another thing, is they get dry years, and so wet years, lots of mud, the mud on clothes was a badge of honour to be honest, i was a dry cleaner, for thw weathly people, the clothes that we had to clean, from a muddy year was unreal, but it is a badge of honour at glastonbury

This is cool , but is better A Sky Full of Start in River - Argentina, that was the official video on that year!!! you shoud react to that one!!
Flag injuries sound's serious!
Its a little known venue called Glastonbury. As it states in your title.
The thing is where is that video "sky rull of stars" from glastonbury 2024? Can't find it now, looks like deleted
Amazing song, but the BBC removed it from their official channel
You need to do fix you at Glastonbury by Coldplay they had Michael j fox on stage with them
2:50 This person with a wingsuit thing just blocking the view for all the people behind 😂 I would be pissed

This gig at the Glastonbury festival was broadcast live on BBC TV. It was epic
