I have two of these, but one doesn't work unless I unplug the camera module ☹️ The second one is the later model that has cheaper hardware (limited camera zoom and too much brightness on the LCD). Swapping all the components doesn't doesn't improve the later models, even though they share the same firmware. Obviously something is different on the main board 🤷 The worse thing with these phones is the stupid joysticks. But they are easy to replace if you have a heat gun and a replacement joystick. I changed mine in 2008 without the heat gun. what a disaster 😅 but somehow the phone survived 😂 Also, the charging port on these are terrible, possibly the worst design ever!
I think I'm mistaken about the camera zoom in later models. It's the actual camera module that limits the zoom. They used a cheaper module in the later versions. Sony sourced a cheaper non Panasonic one for my gorgeous red k750i. B@st@rds! 🤣
Its first time I hear this matter , so sony Used cheaper components in the latest K750i models. In Xperia TX we had 3 types of displays like Panel A , B and C lol B was the best among them , I did not know this works was Sony habbit 😂.
As a Sony Ericcsson fan , Always I got disappointed. Nokia had upper hand in OS and Camera. Barely you can find CPU and RAM in SonyEricsson old phones. I want to learn how to write codes in Java or C sharp and ... language to make my own application and Like to test it in this phones :) Current smart phones such as Android and IOS are so boring for me because they have full features and every persons have it but old phones had monopoly/restriction in giving features and abilities so those stuffs would be rare thing (everyone had not that). Sorry for weak English
Have mind somewhere in box still, problem I got was camera cover switch wasn't anymore triggering, and device was asking to uncover camera. And second one was joystick, certain directions wasn't responding that good. After few attempts messed up screws, and how these can be very hard to undo. You simply cleaned device, or entire phone case came new?
@@Retrophonesstuff Any suggestion where to search for one? Amazon have few options, ebay have mainly entire phones and those are quite beated. Prestine ones are way too pricy for nostalgia feel only )
You can try facebook market and other similar sites to ebay. I bought from someone a box full of random body shells and between them I found the one that I used in this video.
You can remove the phone lock using pc software. I don't remember the details but there are many tutorials on TH-cam. I recommend to watch several tutorials before attempting to do it 😉

I remember this phone having very advanced Java capabilities. It could run amazing games back in the days…

Amazing, I have K750 but unfortunately it has a phone lock and I can't unlock it, btw for 25:37 it's Greek
You can remove the phone lock using pc software. I don't remember the details but there are many tutorials on TH-cam.
