This game(mod) is far better, satisfying, immersive than any and every modern rpg game. And it accomplishes that with polish voice tract and i don't know any polish :D that alone should tell u allot.
i wouldn't go that far and say than any and every modern rpg while sadly most modern AAA games are soulless nowadays there are still some great games out there like Kingdom come deliverance divinity original sin 1 and 2 baldur's gate 3 cyberpunk 2077
it is not immersive at all. the protagonist is on some quests that dont relate to his broders kidnapping. think about it - [spoiler] his brother is killed cause he was too late. no fucking wonder.
Sadly that tells a lot more about the modern rpg than it does about Archolos. Modern games suck ass.
i installed this mod because i love the trilogy but i didn't expect i would be playing a masterpiece hands down the best gothic game which just a mod lol

Really needs voices translated into english with AI to be playable. Yes, it's not like THE original Gothic, but I grew up with the english version, and the voices are nice

English version all the way. Easily the superior dub.

Mage robes don't make a lick of sense unless you join a mage guild, and you can't do that in Archolos. Robes have nothing to do with magic and everything to do with the ceremonial role of the mages.
I would like to be a mage in archolos. But i think that removing that option was plan from start. Yes we do some glourious shit. But still Marvin isnt a chosen one. So gods grace being out of reach has sense.
The worst thing about archolos gothic 1 and gothic 2 to me are enemies respawning at the same place in later chapters. I cleared that place why do you force me to clear it again. Its literally the reason i dont replay the game

Gothic is about fashion. Too bad they have not shown some prime examples as guild advertisements.
As far as chapters go, BioWare RPGs generally follow a similar structure, with collecting mcguffins or advancing the main plot expands and/or limits available content and gear.
I felt the same way, the first chapters of Gothic 1-2 were great because you had choices in joining any faction, the later chapters had the story much more railroaded
nice and based video, i would recommend cutting the video footage gameplay to accomodate what you are saying, for example showing the armors off when talking about armors
I never completed Archolos but i played on an online server that included it's map. Its weird seeing it in singleplayer now
Dragon Age 2 arguable has a similar chapter structure.
DA2 chapter structure is greatly underrated and so is it's story.
@@TheBishopFury Couldn't agree more. The game has its flaws, but the story isn't one of them, and the chapter structure definitely works in its favor.
It's really good in Gothic standards the only thing bad is there is no English voice but it's still a 10/10 game when i saw it only has polish voice i tought it will be bad but it was amazing
Indeed, it is very important to do simultaneously onle one or two quests, if not, you can get issues. This happens for example if Night Patrol.
I heard they are planning to add magic rune making in next big release. Looking for runs made magic unhealable as it its hard to find them.

To be honest I am not as much interested in the impact of the ending but rather whenever I can actually reach it without game breaking bugs.
Stability is always a huge factor when it comes to fan based dlcs and mods.
I just spent 90 hours with Gothic2 NOTR and I enjoyed it a lot more than most modern rpgs and most importantly I could finish the game.
I hope that I will be able to compete Chronicles of Myrtana as well instead of spending 40-50 hours with it and then get stuck completely.
I played it once it came out and finished with no game breaking bugs. It's well polished

@@jamesantonisenior4855 Golems and trolls can easily break you.. If you get hit you are sent flying and the biggest issue if you survive 90 percent of the time you are unable to stand up which forced you to reload the game. That is game breaking since you arent dead but you can't stand up.

@@magnos1560 If memory serves, CDProjekt in Poland was selling first 3 Gothic games (w/o Forsaken Gods exp.) as a so called 'Gothic Universe' package avail for download and it's possible it was also downloadable from other regional publishers.

Archolos has no replay value. The royal road is archer. You're also a melee fighter at the start. So you experience everything with it.
That's right, becoming a magician isn't worth it.
Not as guild but as a character build it is possible to get third or fourth circle so it is possible to play as mage.

Already played Archolos 4 times. First two times as melee guard/araxos member, third as araxos archer, fourth as guard mage. Mage was probably the most interesting one since it was quite hard until gettin' Mage Set armour.
You are wrong, there also is different endings and quest branches.
one does not simply finish rpg games.
Dude... even without build decision. You have two guilds that play completly different. Adn each guild has two main classes.
And even of there will be not replay value... its game for 100 or more ours if you want finish it all(you cant bc to complete game at 100% you need to REPLAY IN DIFFERENT GUILD).
