I like what he said toward the end there about just rolling with it sometimes. As he said, they're doing the best they can. Where parents, an older generation are concerned, there's a different mind-set. You can't expect them to think like you do in everything, and it helps to understand that.

Some people are so difficult even if you do this they start fights begin talking about you giving a nasty attitude .. its just tiring
I need prayer to be able to talk direct like he did to his mom .. some of us say this and our parents shun or disown us or emotionally blackmail

I will pray that God gives you the courage and confidence to have tough conversations. Trust the Holy Spirit is with you and will give you the right words at the right time. You are brave and I believe you can do this! For me, the anxiety leading up to the conversation is always worse and the actual conversation is pleasant. 🤍🤍

My mom is the same way. Consistent boundary setting in a firm but loving manner is key. Separate yourself from the identity they try to throw at you, know the truth about who you are. That’s important. If you allow your parents to dictate your identity for you, you’ll always feel unstable, because when confronted about sin, the flesh with always be offended and thus try to offend. If your parents react negatively, they are simply living in their flesh. Anchor yourself in who God says you are, and who you know you are. The words of other people are never always truth, especially not when they are speaking from the flesh.

Child of a child of seven here… please pray for our family, please pray for the healing of relationships and for the release of harmful false ideas, we presently never intend to see any of them again and it would be lovely if they understood why and were okay with that. Thank you.

Redirect them to Jesus. That's the whole purpose. Show them he can do what we can't. We're not heroes
