Hey Grubby! I found your channel a couple weeks ago after I picked up Mechabellum and your content has helped me learn a ton about the game. I've climbed like 200 mmr since I started watching your vids (I'm still a scrub but maybe someday I'll be good at the game cx) Keep up the good work man!
Had a fun game around 1000 mmr. picked up elite crawlers round 3 or 4 and spammed them building up a triple tech of replicate, impact drill, and mech rage for a carry. somehow won the game when the guy went for hard countering them and I picked up a 2x lvl 3 rhino drop. I rather enjoy picking up the elite techs at this point. I think people miss just how big an impact those levels can have on a freshly spawned unit.
@@stoyandimitrov7699 elite crawlers have the occasional use. Mainly if someone is reliant on low level arclights/tarantulas for chaff clear it can mess up the numbers. Slamming a vulcan after does not fix the problem until the vulcan levels or gets scorch. They can also be used to attack an asymetrical board effectively if an opponent has abandoned a side.
Or be Grubby and refuse to defend against nuke, orbital bombardment and such at every possible opportunity. It hurts to watch every time. He always forgets about it.
The chin guns just aren't an auto take now like they were, but still aren't necessarily bad. The range is still pretty good and it still does decent damage to small/medium units which was the intent originally instead of them one shotting half the units in the game in one shot lol. Other techs are better for carry boats I think, but as long as they aren't building forts or something, it can still be good. Also, Rick the Rimmer lmao
