This year, the Jashn witnessed the first women's group to perform the Chahar Bait, a folk music genre originating 1500 years ago. Chahar (Four) Bait (Verse) is a musical composition comprising of various quatrains. It has travelled from Afghanistan and has its roots in the war poetry of Arabia.
It was popularized in medieval India by soldiers who used it as an interlude during the period of war.

especially Bihar, Bengal, Odisha people use 'V' for sound such as Vayanank,Valu, Voot etc .
But,
Rest of India & World uses 'V'
for sound of 'W'.
For eg - Mahi Ve (Mahi Way) !!

'Vasl' that is opposite of 'Hijr'.
Vasl means Milan &
Hijr means Judai.
Visaal has stem out from root word Vasl that also means meeting but Visaal e Yaar ,
To be precised in context of
'Meeting of Beloved' !!

Ye kya koi shadi ka geet hai jo has has ke aur nach nach ke ga rahi hain? Pehle ghazal ko samajh to lo ki shayar (aur wo bhi Ghalib) kya keh raha hai. Wo apni qismat ko ro raha hai aur ye jaise uska jashn mana rahi hain. Really really bad in taste. Total garbage.
